Biden Admin Will Ban Fossil Fuel Use In New Federal Buildings By 2030

The Biden administration on Wednesday announced a new proposed rule that will prevent new or newly renovated federal buildings from being powered by fossil fuels by 2030.

The new standards will force the government to use green energy technologies to power its buildings in hopes of cutting carbon emissions and meeting international climate goals, according to an Energy Department (DOE) memo. Starting in 2025, government buildings, which are responsible for roughly 25% of all federal carbon emissions, must also reduce their on-site emissions relating to energy use by 90% compared to 2003 levels.

“Ridding pollution from our buildings and adopting clean electricity are some of the most cost-effective and future-oriented solutions we have to combat climate change,” said Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm in a statement.

President Joe Biden is promoting green energy and phasing out fossil fuels throughout the entire federal government, setting a “net-zero” goal for government carbon emissions by 2050, according to a White House fact sheet. The DOE stated that the new regulation could reduce federal buildings’ methane emissions by 22.8 thousand tons and those buildings’ carbon emissions by 1.86 million metric tons over the next 30 years, which is roughly equivalent to the emissions produced by nearly 300,000 homes annually.

The federal buildings need to recycle toilet paper too.

That’s cool by me. I’d dearly love to see a bunch of fat-assed government clowns freezing their butts off in Winter and sweating off some of that lard their kind have in summer. Bring it on. More fossil fuels (a stupid leftist meme, BTW) for the rest of us.

Was the wiring made using “fossil fuels”? How about the insulation? Fidiots or true believers.

Ah, but they won’t freeze. As soon as reality sinks in, the government will start issuing waivers. The Bureau For Counting Recycled Tires is filled with essential workers. They’ve got to be kept warm!

It’s all just for show.

Working overseas, we used to call it the, homo-hose.

I will say, they actually work. Install them in ever commode. That water is going to be pretty icy when their solar energy can’t keep the water warm.

On another note, I think of all the federal buildings in Atlanta. Just the ones in the city, not the peripheral ones across the state. I can’t even imagine how many solar panels they would need just for the elevators and electronic equipment. I’m not even talking about HVAC and hot water.

Will we be rid of deep state government employees in the winter of 2030 when they all freeze to death?

Bureaucrats freezing or getting heat stroke in their buildings will be like the train in the tunnel scene in Atlas Shrugged.

You are totally correct about that!

Why stop there? Let’s go for all federal buildings especially the White House starting NOW. No gas. No electric. After all those involve fossil fuel. Go for it!

I say lets turn off the gas to all federal buildings today, and let them do their part.

If they would force these offices to be cooled with only “green energy” maybe it would get a little uncomfortable in the summer months also. It might result in some of these “geniuses” finding out how their bread was being buttered.

You don’t get it. Biden wants to punish the middle class and low wage workers, but not Democrat elite. The Biden crime family and their coconspirators Obama, Kerry, Buttigieg, etc. will all dine of Wagyu beef and truffles while making us eat crickets.
