Listen to this article 0:00 / 4:18 1X BeyondWords Now that the U.S. Senate run-off in Georgia between Herschel Walker and Sen. Raphael Warnock is behind us, the final results of the 2022 midterm elections are in. This is an opportune moment to examine what happened at the polls and what we can expect from the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives in the 118th Congress starting in January 2023.
With incumbent Raphael Warnock’s victory, Democrats will return to Washington with a 51 to 49 majority in the U.S. Senate. Although Senate Democrats only managed a net pick-up of one seat this election cycle despite an extremely favorable map, that lone seat carries with it great significance. Recall that for two years left-wing talking heads and so-called experts were predicting the Democrats could win Senate races in Wisconsin, Ohio, North Carolina, Florida, Pennsylvania, and even Utah. In the end, only John Fetterman in the Keystone State succeeding in flipping one of these coveted seats.
But with Senator-elect Fetterman’s 51st vote, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and the Democrats will now be able to approve President Biden’s left-wing judicial nominees with greater ease and can launch oversight investigations and issue subpoenas as they see fit.

It’s The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)
That’s great, it starts with an earthquake, birds and
snakes, an aeroplane and Lenny Bruce is not afraid.
Eye of a hurricane, listen to yourself churn - world
serves its own needs, dummy serve your own needs. Feed
it off an aux speak, grunt, no, strength, Ladder
start to clatter with fear fight down height. Wire
in a fire, representing seven games, a government
for hire and a combat site. Left of west and coming in
a hurry with the furies breathing down your neck. Team
by team reporters baffled, trumped, tethered cropped.
Look at that low playing! Fine, then. Uh oh,
overflow, population, common food, but it’ll do. Save
yourself, serve yourself. World serves its own needs,
listen to your heart bleed dummy with the rapture and
the revered and the right, right. You vitriolic,
patriotic, slam, fight, bright light, feeling pretty
psyched.
It’s the end of the world as we know it.
It’s the end of the world as we know it.
It’s the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.
Six o’clock - TV hour. Don’t get caught in foreign
towers. Slash and burn, return, listen to yourself
churn. Locking in, uniforming, book burning, blood
letting. Every motive escalate. Automotive incinerate.
Light a candle, light a votive. Step down, step down.
Watch your heel crush, crushed, uh-oh, this means no
fear cavalier. Renegade steer clear! A tournament,
tournament, a tournament of lies. Offer me solutions,
offer me alternatives and I decline.
It’s the end of the world as we know it.
It’s the end of the world as we know it.
It’s the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.
The other night I dreamt of knives, continental
drift divide. Mountains sit in a line, Leonard
Bernstein. Leonid Brezhnev, Lenny Bruce and Lester
Bangs. Birthday party, cheesecake, jelly bean, boom! You
symbiotic, patriotic, slam book neck, right? Right.
It’s the end of the world as we know it.
It’s the end of the world as we know it.
It’s the end of the world as we know it and I feel
fine...fine...
(It’s time I had some time alone)
The electorate is going to get more of what it desires.
Tyrannical slavery. And they will like it.
I have a prediction. The democrats get anything they want. Like normal.
I bet we find out we didn’t win anything at all, the “wins” were strategically allowed for plausible deniability. Like normal.
It’s not so much “lazy” as it is “people who dont care about politics who normally wouldn’t vote” which is largely going to be democrats. Republicans are not going to be able play catch up with the Dems in this case. Plus what would prevent them from just changing the rules again.
Nope, this belongs to Romney’s niece who should resign.
IOW, SNAFU.
By the looks of them I think most already have buttons pushed by proxy.
The country is in shambles and the GOP can’t win a senate seat in a southern state.
Americans have not been brutalized enough, yet. More inflation, more crime, more debt. It’s all coming.
Trump endorsed Ronna McDaniel to be GOP Chair for this election.
Stop trying to deflect blame and wake up.
collect up everything you have ever known about lazy people then review this statement:
“If the Democrats found a way to get lazy people to vote”
Do you think this is likely within the framework of the law?
If you say yes, we need to talk because I have some lazy people on my team I need some help with.
Except the Dems are masters at this incremental change/decline into socialism. People just put up with it and it becomes the new normal. Only an abrupt change will spark change.
Trump may be the titular head of the GOP, but he doesn't run it. McDaniel, McConnell and McCarthy do, and this loss is on them.
The House will run endless investigations
The Senate will confirm Biden judges
At the very last minute they will come together to pass some budget bills
The Senate will run their endless investigations of Trump and maybe a few other GOP’er the Rats see as potential threats!
Otherwise, you’re spot on!
“Pennsylvania, Arizona and Georgia become hugely at risk with mail-in and drop off ballots”
Not Georgia.
The 2021 election law cut way down on the number of mail-in/drop off ballots. There was an 80% decrease in mail-in ballots in the Nov. general election compared to 2020. Almost all drop-boxes eliminated, for example there was only one drop box location in downtown Atlanta in 2022.
Georgia requires ID to vote, and you have to sign in to vote (sign a form with your personal info which is stored), so there is a paper trail showing each person who voted. Counting continues until all ballots are counted, no breaks, no locking up and coming back later.
Georgia is now up there with FL in terms election security.
Correct, these are the priorities of the corporate-owned GOP.
“— not because of fraud potential but because the GOP has not aggressively pursued it.”
I keep hearing this crock from RINOs and talking heads. What does this statement even mean? What would “pursuing” it look like? What difference does it make if people vote by mail or on voting day?
Other than introduce tons of out-of-sight touch points in the case of vote-by-mail?
Why do my adversaries keep telling me I should want MORE vote-by-mail? Huh... that’s a mystery!
Mitch wanted to hurt MAGA.
