Fox’s Stuart Varney: Trump ‘losing iron grip’ on GOP
The Hill ^ | 12/06/2022 | DOMINICK MASTRANGELO

Posted on 12/06/2022 11:41:22 AM PST by ChicagoConservative27

Fox Business host Stuart Varney blasted former President Trump, saying his time as the leader of the GOP is likely coming to an end and a loss by Herschel Walker in Tuesday’s Georgia Senate runoff election would essentially be Trump’s fault.

“There’s a lot at stake here, more than just a balance of power in the Senate, it’s about the state of the Republican Party and Trump’s role in it,” Varney said Tuesday of Georgia’s runoff contest. “He seems to be losing what used to be his iron grip on the GOP and he still has a hard core of supporters who will follow them regardless, but many of the 74 million people who voted for him in 2020, have been turned off.”

Ya, Ol Stu got the memo from FOX brass—dump Trump and crown their hand picked guy as the future. Makes ya wonder about the integrity of DeSantis.

So w/out Trump we go back to the days of the Designated Loser when Bob Michaels was the Minority leader and the Corp F@scisms both parties have come to represent will continue unabated .

If Trump leaves the stage the Blue Collars and Hispanics that vote for him and who he recommends will stay home in 24'.

GOP Candidate will get a bigger shellacking than he who shall not be named who destroyed 4 or 5 Naval aircraft did in 08'. And they can kiss ass and play nicey nicey and go on the couch chat shows with their wife and kids and they will still do what they did to the designated loosers in 08' and 12', they will politically stab the R-24' in the back too.

Just what the deep state wants, Rush told us they can't stand us, Varney is just more piece of proof of that.

The country is done (most likely) with or without Trump. With Trump there will be some push back. No one else even sees a problem. The elections are a joke and everyone is pretending like all of this is business as usual. Trump has made it clear that the politicians are not at all representatives of the people. Trump at least acts like this is urgent. I have no doubt that one day all the so called “Conservatives” will sound like Trump. They’re just not as brave as he is and they’re waiting to see how it all shakes out. Trump is willing to forge new paths through fire. The others, DeSantis, Rubio and the like are willing to walk the path once beaten (just listen to them on China now that Trump brought the country there).

He will be Mitch’s best bud. The “Conservative Party” will be the like of Mitch, Pence, Ryan, Romney, Haley, Graham, Collins, McCarthy, any Bush they can pull out of the trash, etc. Not a party I want any part of and I will not vote for anyone associated with these people. Do they think they are going to win without people like me or will they suddenly figure out how to master voter fraud?

Trump lost me at “15 days to flatten the curve”>>>

You may be doing yourself a disservice. The 15 day concept was the work product of medical experts.

As the record shows the anti-MAGA's on both sides of the aisle were looking for even the flimsiest of reasons to shut Trump down and even get rid of him.

Had he defied the advice of the nation's leading medical experts regarding this "immediate national medical crisis", he would have been summarily impeached and thrown out of office.

(Kemp didn't have such a worry and was probably encouraged by the anti-MAGA's to publicly defy Trump.)

Everyone cool it about DeSantis. He threw his suuport to a globalist, which means he is Pro the elites and not MAGA.

That gives the readers an even better idea of the value of your postings.

Trump is losing his effectiveness as a weapon against the Swamp. What to do? The man never had a ‘iron grip’ on his supporters. The movement is bigger than the man himself. We were here before Trump arrived and we’ll be here long after.
DeSantis is an insider. Change my mind.

When did Trump have this iron grip on the GOP? China has a better grip on them than Trump ever did. WEF too Their “friends across the aisle” have a better grip on them, and they don’t seem to mind as their spine has been permanently removed and replaced with silly putty.

There are but a handful or two of good Republicans, and NO good democRATS in DC.

FOX was formerly the controlled opposition. Now they’re just the opposition. My last time I watched FOX other than Youtube clips was when Harris told Newt Gingrich that he could not mention George Soros.

Yes it does show the value of my postings. It shows I have been paying attention to how the MSM positions their narratives - with the nebulous term “expert”.

Trump never had an iron grip on the GOP, nor should he have wanted to. The GOP is nothing more than a self-serving entity that only knows you when it wants your money, and your vote. And your vote isn’t all that important to them because they’ve never taken any steps to protect it from voter fraud. What President Trump does have, is an iron grip on the largest portion of Conservatives who are fed up with the shenanigans, and back-stabbing of the GOP. I left the Republican Party after January 6th. They haven’t acted in my best interest for decades, and I’m done with them. If, and when I do vote, it will be as a member of “no party,” and it will only be for President Donald Trump. I’m done holding my nose to vote for someone who doesn’t deserve my vote. For me, the GOP is dead.

No, I just am able to think considering all facts, not what fit into a particular narrative.
