WASHINGTON (Reuters) -Passage of a bill protecting federal recognition of same-sex marriages that has the support of both LGBT advocates and religious groups, has been delayed in the U.S. House of Representatives.

The bill was initially expected to be debated and passed by the full House on Tuesday. It is now expected to be attached to an unrelated defense bill that is still under discussion by House and Senate negotiators.

As an attack on religion as well as forcing states to recognize every other states liberal marriage permissions, this’ll go straight up to SCOTUS where it will be slapped down.

Oh, it will pass I’m sure.

When Reuters says it had “bipartisan” support that means Democrats and RINOs supported it.

Supporters don’t want a vote recorded for a stand alone bill, so they are trying to attach it to a must pass defense bill.

If I understand it correctly, California has no minimum age limit for marriage as long as the parents approve (which many parents in the diversity-is-your-strength cultures approve of). This bill means that even if a pedo-man moves his child bride to another state, that state has to approve of it and can’t rescue her from her California sanctioned pedo “marriage”.

+++++++++++++++++++

UNRELATED .... this should not be allowable, but of course it’s the ‘usual’ to obfuscate who is voting for what.

Every congress critter who would vote “no” on a standalone bill should vote “no” if attached to the defense bill. The ‘Rats will pass it anyway.

How democrats add dots that are not related to an issue.

There is one law or bill that needs to be passed in congress and signed by the president, and it would be the most important bill in decades.

We need a bill that would require that, a bill must be about one issue at a time, and with no attachments whatsoever. For example, a spending bill would have to stand on its own two fee, sort of speaking, and no other type of spending can be inserted and no special interest bills. No hiding bills behind other bills, and no special spending that’s not related to the bill in question.

Clean bills. Nothing else.

God have mercy. This makes behaving as a Christian a legal liability.

Still praying that somehow it won’t pass.

has the support of both LGBT advocates and religious groups,

A form of a lie: Should be both some LGBT advocates and some religious groups,

The article makes is sound as though all LGBT advocates and all religious groups support the bill.

That is a lie.

Which religious groups? It might just be a subset of LGBT advocates.

And about 50 Republican members of the House.

Including my dumbass congressman who fell for the "mixed race marriage" justification. What an idiot.

You are correct. They have the votes, or will have. Too many RINO’s are likely to put pen to paper on this.

It is criminal the way things are done. The Democrats don’t care, they won’t be called out on it. The RINO’s know if they put pen to paper and sign off on it, the repercussions will be minor, so they will likely sign it so they can go home.

And the Left will hail it as “Bipartisan”.

Disgusting.
