Not just a bailout for local newspapers. It’s a bailout for all local media that has some form of news content. I believe government will subsidize 50% of News employees salaries for 5 years if I remember correctly.

Given that Democrats usually name their bills the exact opposite of what they do, I expect the Journalism Competition and Preservation Act to reduce competition and reinforce my Tagline.

McConnell didn’t cave. He supports the Democrats. Republicans who support MConnell are in their hearts, socialist Democrats.

Nothing stops those new sources from putting their content behind a pay wall. But then, of course, all those advertisers on that page will not get clicks, and the propaganda arm of the dnc will dry up and go away faster. How many people who click to follow an article from a social media site, do so only to witness the moral depravity on display? Maybe a little less lecturing, and some even handedness when reporting the news would be better for these companies.

Mitch didn’t cave. He was following the script. There was never any intention of him opposing it.

Gobbler caved? Not a chance, he led the pack. He’s the reason the GOPe has an “e” at the end. I’ve been involved in politics for almost 50 years and can’t think of a more disgusting unipartytarian the last two generations.

No thanks.

Surrender monkeys maintain their historical reputation...
It will soon be the same in the House when the surrender monkeys take control of the House in January...
Albert Einstein: “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results”...
In our case, it refers to electing the same old GOPers...
