The House Freedom Caucus members — with the help of Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), who is looking for their support to become Speaker — made multiple changes they requested in their party’s rules on Wednesday.
Punchbowl News reported on Thursday that McCarthy “helped tweak and build support for” some of the key provisions conservative members proposed in the “internal GOP conference debate” on Wednesday.

We should stop the infighting, and let him start kicking some serious Dem butt. He is from California and hates the Dem regime.

McCarthy like McConnell is the best friend that Dems have in Congress.

100% guaranteed loss for any 3rd party. When elections are lost, all power to pursue any agenda also dies.

Guaranteed loser. Only a democrat could support this idea! Remember Ross Perot gave us the Clintons.

100̀ loss for any party other than the Party in power now. The Republicans as a party have acquiesced in the falsification of two major national elections in a row. That is institutionalized now and is the way “elections” will be carried on from now on with fine tuning and extension to state and local elections. Such Republicans that remain in office for a time will be there at the sufferance of the Party now known as he Democrats but sooner than we might think- the Party.

We really need a serious effort at a third or fourth party.
Commies and ChiComs have patience. Pro-lifers have been forced to develop it. This is a generational struggle, starting at least with Reagan, some would say Goldwater.
When Ryan, Kinzinger and Flake and their ilk quit and throw potshots from the sidelines, we are moving towards the REAL political party goal . . . Make THEM be the Third Party.
In the meantime, we have to settle for minor disingenuous concessions from the Mitch McConnells and the Kevin McCarthys. Reagan had to deal with Bob Michel, Howard Baker and Bob Dole, both whom ran AGAINST him in '80. Chase out the remainders. I think Romney is vulnerable. Make being on the other side attractive. Some will eventually vote with us out of prudence. Others will betray, retire, and lobby. There will always be unprincipled free riders (Lindsay Graham). It is a S-L-O-W process. When we have the numbers, things get better more quickly. Pray the electoral process is not permanently broken so that we get to that point.

You obviously don’t know McCarthy that well. He’s a double-talking weasel and former Boehner syncophant.

That is very true. But we have to work with him since our members prefer him by a 6-1 margin.
