Ukrainian forces struck a power plant in multiple attacks on Russia’s Kursk region on Tuesday, causing some electricity outages, a local governor said.

“In total, there were about 11 launches. A power plant was hit,” Roman Starovoyt, the governor of the Kursk region, said on the Telegram messaging app.

“Because of this, there are partial power outages in the Sudzha and Korenevo districts.” The districts are part of Russia’s Kursk region and sit over Ukraine’s northeast border.

There was no immediate information on possible injured or casualties, he added.

NATO isn't fighting in Ukraine - you Russkies are getting your butts kicked by the Ukrainians! That is funny considering how you looked down upon them

Oh and they get their grid up in a few days after you target them - not ideal, but hey, since you guys can't hit military targets due to the vodka...

Russia occupied the Caucasus region and pushed the Dagestanis, Nakh peoples etc to Islam due to your rapaciousness (and the Circassian genocide as well).

In an investigation was conducted by Aleksandr Litvinenko, a former FSB officer, who worked with historian Yury Felshtinsky and published their initial conclusions in 2001, in the Russian newspaper Novaya Gazeta.

“In 2000, it was clear that the FSB blew up the buildings in order to declare war on the Chechen Republic, and this would result with Vladimir Putin being elected a tough leader,”

“Yes, it’s one of Putin’s original sins,” said Sergei Kovalyov, a former lawmaker and rights activist who headed a commission that investigated the bombings in the early 2000s.

The bombings, and the fear they provoked, “were advantageous,” he told RFE/RL. “At the time, it was advantageous for him to take control of the country, and to introduce force into the Caucasus, in Chechnya in particular.”

The day before Putin’s “outhouse” comment, on September 22, another incident occurred at an apartment building in the western city of Ryazan.

Two men driving a car with Moscow license plates were spotted carrying sacks into the basement of the building. Police and bomb-disposal experts swarmed the area, discovering they contained a military-grade explosive, and had a detonator and a timer set for 5:30 a.m.

Putin that evening praised the work of investigators for thwarting what appeared to be another bombing attempt.

The next day, three FSB officers were arrested by police in Ryazan and held on suspicion of planting the sacks. But Putin’s successor at the FSB, Nikolai Patrushev, declared that the Ryazan incident had, in fact, been a training exercise, and he apologized for scaring an already edgy populace.

Putin is bad for Russia

Marmema Russia has really saved the world twice from Nazis bent on world dominion.

Bull

Russia allied with the Nazis in 1939 to divvy up Central Europe

Russia only fought back against the Nazis when the Nazis turned on their fellow monsters

Then Russia conquered Central Europe and forced Russia-backed governments on them, even invading Czechoslovakia and Hungary when they wanted to move away from Russian control

No, you Russians didn't "save the world from the Nazis" -- you allied with them and then took over the eastern part of their empire from them

“Washington’s Carthaginian peace collides with reality. The Biden administration refuses to tell the American people the truth: Ukraine is not winning and will not win this war”: Former Trump adviser Douglas McGregor has written an article explaining why Ukraine has no chance of winning and how the post-war world will be arranged.

“Months of heavy losses among Ukrainians through an endless series of senseless attacks on Russian defenses have dangerously weakened Ukrainian forces.
The coming phase of the conflict will provide insight into the new Russian forces that are emerging and their future capabilities. As of this writing, 540,000 Russian combat forces are concentrated in southern Ukraine, western Russia, and Belarus. These new forces have little in common with the Russian army that intervened nine months ago.
Like the foolish general who insists on defending every inch of land to the last man, President Biden has reaffirmed the US commitment to confront Russia and potentially any nation-state that does not conform to the hypocritical democratic standards of globalism, no matter what it costs the American people. Biden’s “take no prisoners” policy in US foreign policy means that the outcome of the next phase of the Ukrainian war will not only destroy the Ukrainian state. It will also destroy the last vestiges of the post-war liberal order and lead to a dramatic shift in power and influence across Europe, especially in Berlin, from Washington to Moscow and, to a limited extent, to Beijing.”

American Conservative.

Trump is always right. Stop believing Biden and his state media.

Marmema If this war had been left to Ukraine it would have been over in a few weeks,

Nope -- Ukraine stood alone from Feb 24 until mid-to-end March.

Paedo Biden withdrew American advisors and offered Zelenskyy a ride out - as Biden was ready to surrender Ukraine to Putin --> But the Ukrainians not only defeated Russia's elite paratrooper VDV battalion in the battle of Hostomel airport -- BY THEMSELVES, but they also chased out the Russians from the north of Kyiv

Only then, after they proved that they had the will to fight, did other countries start helping out with weaponry and intelligence

NATO hasn't even shown up - we've just given the Ukrainians the weapons by which they can defend themselves

Russia is getting whipped by the Ukrainians!!

and hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians would still be alive. -- if they surrendered to Putin's troops, we saw the atrocities that Russians did to people in Bucha and dialing back the decades what they did in Eastern Germany and other places - no, many more would be dead

Btw, the Ukrainian death toll would be at worst 100K, not 100s of thousands - no matter how much you Russians try to kill them

Petrosius Why this constant criticism of Ukraine and not a word of criticism for Russia?

Petrosius - because we criticize Israel or Switzerland for anything that is not civilized, but if the Russians or Iranians do something a 100 times worse, it's expected.

Similarly - the Russians bomb civilians, commit massacres, but the one incident of Ukrainian soldiers brutalizing one Russian soldier is noticed because it is unusual

When you see the Russians bombings civilians you shrug and go "hey, that's what Russia does"....

It is all great, except there are much more than one recorded case of Ukrainian atrocities, and all the claims of Russian atrocities are the attempts to criminalize warfare, with zero evidence of atrocities.

That’s nonsense. There are entire towns and villages that have been obliterated by Russia. And Mariupol doesn’t have even a single building untouched by Russian fire.

Sorry, but if Ukraine can make Russia suffer then they will be closer to ending the war. A war Russia started in 2014.

Read the Geneva Conventions ifbitbis not above your pay grade. If the “defenders” are squatting in the city they are liable for the destruction.

Is it, besides going nuclear how have they been balanced? To your point I think they were “balanced” when they thought they would be occupying Ukraine with little opposition and wanted an intact infrastructure, but that opportunity has passed.
Their actions now are only “balanced” by their abilities to inflict damage. Their artillery only has so much range and much of it has been destroyed or degraded to the point of virtual uselessness. Barrels are worn out, ammunition is old. They can pray and spray but that is more terror than tactical effectiveness Their rocket and cruise missile fleet has also been depleted and doesn’t have the capability to destroy cities like a bombing campaign could but they can’t because their aircraft would be shot out of the sky.
Even early in the “operation” Russian fixed wing and esp helicopter assets took large loses, but now air missions are regulated to stand off missions or missions directly over the battle field. When was the last time a Russia aircraft has flown deeper into Ukrainian territory? They won’t because loses would be tremendous.
For the most part Russian territory and assets have been spared the ravages that have been inflicted on Ukraine, but I think that is going to change and the rocket and air basses will now come under long range fire. Infrastructure like supply, ammo, and fuel depots will come under fire as well as logistical hubs and other lines of communication which will exasperate an already strained logistical system and situation. Hundreds of thousands of Russian troops will be mostly on their own to survive the coming winter and the results may be devastating
Hitler had a similar option, do they use their limited supply chain to send supplies to survive the winter or supply a last chance offensive to defeat the Russians. They chose the later and it failed and their troops suffered greatly through the winter..

You keep repeating propaganda. The “massive atrocious bombing barages” normally cause 2-3 fatalities, mostly from Ukraine’s own defenses.
Yep, the Ukraine’s criminal conduct of war with the use of civilians as human shields had the effect on the Russian objectives. If the Ukrainians were fighting against the US they’d have had millions of casualties as of now.
If they won’t surrender after the infrastructure is down then there will be WWII type of approach. Hopefully, Ze is going to be removed before that.

That’s how many graves appeared on the military cemetery in Warsaw. If you’d count those left rotting in trenches then there will be twice that.
