Why Mohave County, AZ Board of Supervisors (I am one) certified the 2022 election yesterday.
Mohave Valley Daily News ^ | November 29, 2022 | Hildy Angius

There are a couple of threads going on on FreeRepublic about this and I do not think people understand what certification of an election is and what it would mean not to certify a County election. I am attaching an article from today's Lake Havasu City Paper that I think did a very good job reporting what happened yesterday. I will be happy to answer any questions that anyone has. Mohave County is the most Conservative County in Arizona if not the whole Southwest. If I believed, for one minute, not certifying the Mohave County election would lead to something or even MEAN something positive, I would have done it in a heartbeat, even if it meant jail. But that just is not how this thing works guys.

said, "He likened it to 2020 when Trump wanted Pence to not certify and throw it back to the States. In that situation Pence could have done that."

That is true. For those that are still not clear on what happened on Jan 6. They gamed the system which Trump couldn't win. The Coup d'état took place on Jan 3 2021 giving full control of the electoral count to the speaker of the house and implemented the stacked vote on Jan 6.
The Objection made which was, "all of the known circumstances, regularly given."
Referring to covid rules which the state legislators didn't get a vote on. Then the breach took place making even less of a "regular circumstance"

The process was unacceptable. Which was brought up in an inquiry. Rep. Griffith couldn't use a point of order or question of consideration in a joint session.

1. Only people on the floor are allowed to vote LEGALLY.
2. They had 11 republicans and 11 democrats to vote legally. A total of 22 from the house 22 from the senate or 44 representatives on the floor that could vote in either legally.
3. All others where not legally allowed to vote.
4. It was up to the will of the speaker of the house (re guarding the house vote) to accept the none legal votes.
5. Once the 11 legal vote requirement was made. Trump lost even if the vote went his way.

As far as the vote goes that did take place on the objection. There were a hand full that voted which it was going to be close it might have gone Trumps way. Then the doors where unlocked and the voting was stopped. The voting restarted later. When they returned the voting went against Trump. As most everyone assumed those where Trumps people that interrupted the proceedings and voted against him.

I believe Pence was in on the game. Pence hard balled Griffith and wouldn't respond to his question.

For reference:

The transcript of Jan 6 in question:
https://www.congress.gov/congressional-record/volume-167/issue-4/house-section/article/H76-4

They only allowed 11 Republicans on the floor (House speaker covid rules) thereby a quorum (12th amendment) by the states where not allow to proceed assuming it made it that far. Pence broke US code right there.
https://www.congress.gov/congressional-record/volume-167/issue-4/house-section

Jan 3 when they decided to let the speaker of the house take charge of the count and not by US code
https://www.politico.com/news/2021/01/03/congress-rules-electoral-college-count-454023

Remote voting by proxy only changes who votes not how they vote. If you can't be on the floor then someone can take your place. Which the speaker of the house can reject that person.

Many more links I put in this thread along with a conversation with someone that believed Trump lost the vote on Jan 6 fairly.

Yeah, I dug further unto your list of machines, and my only further question is the term “Accessible Voting” (handicapped voters use touch screens??)

Your list says “Accessible Ballot Marking Device” is the “ES&S ExpressVote (BMD)” you pictured...for handicapped voters? Or for all in-person polling place “day of” voting? They also list the “ES&S DS850” paper ballot scanner as being used in Mojave County....I would imagine that is for mailed in/dropped off absentee/mail paper ballots? So a combination of voting methods I guess...paper and touch screen electronic.

If you are local go down to Kingman, AZ and take a look on Dec. 8th: https://www.mohave.gov/ContentPage.aspx?id=118&cid=1650

The way they gamed the justice system was rather creepy. No data, statistics or factual information was accepted by the courts in 2020 election.

This is the lawyer Michael Shamos whom is clearly against justice that has been winning this cases
Generally he is "Fact checking" with the election commissioner. The corrupted election commissioner says, "there was no election fraud"
case closed

<> Four out of five Republican Supervisors on that Board handed over Arizona to the Democrats without even a fight <>

what should have been done differently ?

since the board of supervisors has no discretion over certifying why have them do it? it places them in an untenable position..is non discretionary against public policy and thus void? is it fraudulent to not give the sups discretion and require them to certify?“ "certify"” an election should not other language be used rather than certify, such as the totals are correct.

Re: 119 - I was being sarcastic about criticizing at a distance and should have used a sarcasm tag ;)

Arresting people for not sitting at the back of the bus was clearly unconstitutional. And doubt I would be a loyalist. But you using those examples shows me you can’t argue the point.

You believe that Mohave County should not have certified because it would have put pressure on other counties to not certify. But you don’t know that at all. It’s obviously speculation. What’s not speculation is you want Mojave County to break the law to address suspected lawbreaking at Maricopa County. Just not a good strategy. So we will be disagreeing on this.

Good luck!

“What’s not speculation is you want Mojave County to break the law to address suspected lawbreaking at Maricopa County.”

Surely you’re aware that the signers of the Declaration of Independence were technically breaking the law. Would you have supported them breaking the law or would you have urged them to continue submitting to the tyranny the were being subjected to because it was the law? That fact that you pretend the two situations aren’t analogous just shows me you can’t argue the point. But that’s okay. I’m used to that from you.

I should also add that I’m taking your word and Hildy’s word that Mojave County actually did certify the election and that there were no problems with their county’s election. It would be even more disgraceful if we find that to not the case.

They should have launched an investigation 2 years ago instead of fighting it at every turn.

I did not realize you were from Mojave Co. So I agree with those that are telling you you did the right thing for your county. But the right thing for the state would have been to not certify. Happy there is still one county holding out.

Here’s my question—since it now appears they are going to move forward with placing this sorority girl moron who doesn’t have two brain cells to rub together into the governor’s mansion—- what are we going to do about it? What are we going to do when she proceeds on the Soros vision for Arizona and dumps another 10 million rapists, traffickers, drug mules, etc into our state? When she masks us again and shuts down all remaining businesses? When all other decent employers flee the tax increases for Texas? When she covers the entire desert with warehouses filled with Chinese crap that no one will have the money to buy? (Although Ducey has done a good job of that already.) When she sells our water off to California? When she destroys energy production for “green climate change” and no one is allowed to run their air conditioner anymore? Or requires everyone to buy a $50,000 electric car with batteries that last a year in this heat before needing replacement at $25,000? When she triples our taxes and gives us nothing in return? When she turns this state into the same sh!thole that California now is?

What are we going to do about it?

they have gotten away with this twice now and THEY WILL REMAIN UNTIL THEY ARE FORCIBLY REMOVED OR MADE TO RESIGN.

I understand we need to go through the process, but if they continue with this, we have some difficult decisions to make.

Since this Governor is illegitimate in a blatantly fraudulent election that will disenfranchise EVERY county, then we need to refuse to acknowledge her. We need to become ungovernable. I’m not sure how we do that yet, but a tax revolt seems a good place to start.

Still not arguing the point, I see. When you being up the Declaration of Independence, blacks refusing to sit in the back of the bus, etc, that tells me 1) you don’t know the law, and 2) you can’t argue the law.

Do better.

Yep. They know if the populist wing ever wins, their gravy train is gone forever. If the DemoKKKrats win, the gravy train is only gone til maybe the next election.

"To all those out there who are bashing us, please tell me what not certifying would have accomplished?"

PA has remarkably similar election certification laws (imagine that! hmmm), and Luzerne County PA just said to hell with the certification deadline.

Admittedly the example of blacks at the back of the bus was not the best example, but as far as the Declaration of Independece goes - of course I bring it up. The signers were technically committing treason according to British law. Are you pretending you don’t know that?

We are looking at all options. When the State certifies the legal machinations begin. We had two years to do this.

One more time and for the last time. This person Kstockwell says she is a constituent. Never met her. She doesn’t like me, hard to believe but it happens! I have been working my ass off for the Republican Party for 15 years in Arizona. To thank me for my hard work I was a Trump delegate in 2016. I supported him absolutely. I do not worship him. He is a man with many faults. When this election came around I looked at the PRIMARY candidates and my first choice was Matt Salmon. I am not running back from that. He would have been an awesome Governor. He was the only candidate with a Conservative Record. He founded the Freedom Caucus and had a 100% Conservative scorecoard while in the House. When he stepped down he threw his support to KTR. I met with her and thought she would be a good Governor. When Kari Lake won I threw every ounce of my being behind her. Campaigned, raised money. The primary process is how we choose candidates. The job of a political party is to win elections. I will never apologize for who I choose to support during a primary. After the primary we all get behind the winning nominee.

And if you thought I am doing a bad job, Oh well. I have invited you to come see me, I even invited you out to lunch. You refuse would just rather call names. That’s ok. You have to have a thick skin in this profession.

I will not go back and forth here with you. My invitation stands. 1130 Hancock Rd. 928-758-0713.

Because they had problems IN their County. That was not the case in Mohave County.
