But like people who build in flood plains, people buy cheap property in volcanic plains.
The relatively cheap property pitched by the real estate sales men is just irresistible
I mean a fifty year flood is a long time away

I have been to Maui, Oahu and the Big Island.
I enjoyed the Big Island too because I didn't think it was such a tourist ripoff like Maui. Everything on Maui was so expensive. Whereas on Hawaii you could find places where the locals/normal people could eat and afford to live.
Other friends like Kauai the best because it is so less developed than the other islands.

What? Hawaii doesn’t have any virgins to sacrifice to stop the eruption?

Or face diapers to stop a virus? Chain link fence to stop mosquitos?

That’s why you see so many things like, “How to watch the New York Giants and Dallas Cowbodys football game” explanations online. You're talking about American football, right? Played with that funny, oblong ball with the stitching, right? And for some strange reason, the players are allowed to touch the ball with their hands?
I think that I almost watched about five minutes of it on an airport t.v. set, back in the 1970s.
Are the Cowbodys a very good team?
We folks here in Westminster-Worchestershire-on-the-Sea would like to know.

How much CO2 is it belching out?
To: janetjanet998
Yeah, that does not look to me like the lava flows are confined to the summit crater.

Oh no... It was caused by either 1)Climate Change, 2)Evil Republicans or 3)Donald Trump. We need to raise taxes and find out why it happened. It's got the children....
Of course, it is caused by the earth.. I didn't need a grant for that..

“The big island of Hawaii is perhaps my favorite spot on Earth.”
Mine as well . Visited 3 times from Japan between 2007 and 2011 . First I walked off the plane and down the stairs to the runway I looked around and thought to myself that I felt like I was coming home .

I like how the lava is “contained” and anything downhill is not at risk. They said the same thing about Mount Vesuvius.

The big island is nice. Have a friend who lives there. He is Irish, his wife is Hawaiian, their kids are beautiful kids. The kids have Hawaiian names as their middle name, which is what they use. Hawaiian names are wonderful.

I read that it has the only ski area in the Pacific.

people in ... Hawaii, who built their homes right next to an
active volcano, and then wonder why they have lava in the living room. George Carlin

The world's largest active volcano has erupted in Hawaii for the first time in nearly four decades, officials said. For 4 decades, residents have been saying; "So far, so good!".
