Former President Donald Trump dismissed Kanye West on Saturday as “seriously troubled” after the controversial rapper visited his home at Mar-a-Lago in Florida last week.
“So I help a seriously troubled man, who just happens to be black, Ye (Kanye West), who has been decimated in his business and virtually everything else, and who has always been good to me, by allowing his request for a meeting at Mar-a-Lago, alone, so that I can give him very much needed ‘advice,'” Trump wrote on social media, referring to West’s multiple antisemitic rants that prompted major companies to exit from their media and fashion sponsorships with the rapper.

> Trump was doing the exact same thing during the run-up to the 2016 election, and he won. <
That’s a fair point, SoCon. But time moves on, and after awhile maverick behavior that was originally refreshing becomes puzzling, and then off-putting.
Don’t get me wrong. I feel the same way today as I did back in 2016. America desperately needs Trump in the White House. But to get there, Trump has to hold the base AND attract enough independents to overcome Democrat voter fraud.
The bloom is off the rose. So it’s time for Trump to become cold and calculating. Win those squishy independents back. But so far Trump is pretty much doing the opposite.
That won’t be the path to the White House in 2024.
Well put!
Different game now!
Ok if you believe so.
Like to add the American voter has changed since the China Virus, many like being told what to do and think.
Trump had Omarosa working in the White House. He is a bit eccentric in his decisions.
There is another seriously troubled man already in the WH.
“What’s your alternative?”
If MAGA Republicans insist on Trump or no one, we’ll end up with Biden 2024-2028. Or some other brain-dead anti-God candidate.
Our general elections are always binary choices. I don’t support Trump in the primary for 2024 but will vote and work to get him elected IF HE WINS THE PRIMARY. But he has to earn it.
Likewise, I’ll vote for the Republican candidate for President in 2024 if it is DeSantis or someone else.
How about you? Are you a “Trump Alone” person?
Being for Trump ‘24 means never having to say “what if”.
You see fraud. I see a lot of people who won’t support Trump - or Trump-dependent candidates - for anything.
We came close to winning a lot of tight elections in places we had no normal expectation of victory. But candidates tied at the hip with Trump underperformed by 5-10 points Republicans seen as independent of Trump.
I voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020 and will vote for him in 2024 if he wins the nomination. But I know evangelicals who will NOT vote for Trump in 2024. Period. If he’s bleeding support among evangelicals, then he’s in deep doo-doo for winning independents.
Yes, unless Trump changes his mind on running ( highly doubtful), I am a Trump alone person.
None of the others deserves or has earned my vote.
Only Trump does/has.
Your going to be lonely, but if enough people are like you, we’ll have President Harris in 2024. Or Biden, or Fetterman.
You are right so kiss this country Goodbye.
Who will the Deep State allow us to elect?
Kanye West said something the other day about wanting Trump to be his running mate in 2024. I guess this means Trump will turn down the offer...not that he was ever going to run for Vice President after having been President.
Some people are fascinated by displays of strength and power or while in the presence of a very strong character.
Some will be fascinated, but at arms distance. Others chose to keep these unusual character nearby, to better observe their reactions.
I know you’ve got a little obsession with me, but I’ve got to tell you. It’s a little creepy. Does your wife know you swing both ways?
“Who will the Deep State allow us to elect?”
You think there is a secret group of people who control who is allowed to run for office? Or win?
If true, then American is already over and NOTHING we do will ever change it. Nor can SuperTrump save us because he doesn’t have a chance of getting enough votes: When a Republican candidate is losing the evangelical vote - normally around 90% solid - he has lost.
