Last week, as the Russian economy officially entered into recession, Central Bank Chairwoman Nabiullina told lawmakers that next year the situation could get darker still. “We really need to look at the situation very soberly and with our eyes open. The difference between now and WWII is that in WWII the US was on russian side against the nazis. The US provided an enormous never ending supply of weapons and supplies just like its doing now for ukraine. only this time the germans and the rest of Europe and Japan and the aussies are also against Russia.
This is not a good look for putin. its not great for the west either. the biggest winner here is china.

That is the fear that Russia actually learns from their terrible performance, but it will take quite a transformation from their existing methods. They don’t have an educated NCO tier in the military. It’s basically Brains (officers) and bodies (enlisted/conscription). Which is doomed to failure until they change that methodology.

The fact that ruble is not convertible in London and NYC means nothing because the Russians do not buy anything there.
It is perfectly convertible in China, Turkey, Gulf Kingdoms and India.
