It’s clear that Generation Z has earned a seat at the table. We’ve led the social movements that have shaped our current politic climate and helped elect President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris into office. Our growing political power is driven by our unique perspective on the future as we ask ourselves: What does the future hold?
Too often, as young people we are underestimated due to our age, but in reality many of us have years of experience and our youth and age is not a detriment, but an asset providing our perspective as members of the generation who will be living in the future that the policies of today will create.

Yeah, sure. But only those very few that have any work ethic, willing to show up on time and actually work. The rest, forget it.
Don’t write the Z’s off yet... The D might have won a few seats for the Z’s, but a few young Z won other offices for the Rs.
Or bite the bullet, declare bankruptcy on the federal debt, and start over. Move all manufacturing back to this country, or at least out of China. Of course, without fiscal restraint going forward you end up in the same place again anyway.
Gen Z
You believe things that are plainly not true.
You have no experience with actual discomfort.
You know very little about building or maintaining civil society.
You have no chance to compete on a global stage.
You are so screwed.
Take away their litter boxes, safe rooms and parasadic nature...might be able to get by
Why not try to win them over rather than disparage them?
Good plan, but there's a lot of work to be done. Our kid, who is Millennial but only a few years from the Gen X crowd, is already having to deal with them at work. Becoming a tech company manager a few years back at age 26, many of the newer recruits are Gen X'ers, and from our kid's descriptions, they are an entitled bunch.
The comment someone else made on this thread about participation trophies rings true with them. They feel since they are showing up for work, that should be sufficient for a paycheck. The fun part is with the recently announced layoffs, they are now in a panic. Our kid is getting questions from them, like "Will I be laid off?" or "How can I keep my job?". How about doing your f*cking job and doing it well!!
Whether they earned it or not may be open to question, but they undeniably have a place at the table. And with their embrace of atheism, socialism, abortion on demand, global warming BS and willingness to abrogate 1st and 2nd Amendment rights, the Gen Z types are out the gate in force and will have to be reckoned with. They voted almost 70% for the dems Nov. 8.
They are entitled to sit at the kiddies’ table. When they vote they will create a future just for themselves — and they will hate what they voted for once they get a taste of it. Because they’re so smart and experienced.
Eve Levenson— graduated from Brawerman Elementary School in 2012. (Really). So yeah she has lots of “experience” and is ready to live in the world she is creating. Except she will be drinking very hard after a couple years of getting what she voted for.
I think they’re all entitled to a swift kick in the seat at the table or anywhere else their lazy hikin’ and bikin’ butts want it.
The only thing that will win them over is showing them “before” and “after” photos of 2nd trimester feticides.
I doubt the author has truly ever worked or produced anything meaningful in her life.
Just dealing with a few of the ‘new economy’ will have som of the same effect. I live in a ‘poor’ state and a conversation with , all white, restaurant workers this week was interesting. The hostess, a middle age woman,’My full time job pays over $20 a hour and I still have to have this second job to get by. For one thing I get free meals here and that is a big item. Three servers, all Gen X, apartment rents are skyrocketing and all renters are dropping all utilities including water and sewage on renters. Most people I know have to double up or illegally sublet. That is the reality. Dealing with that for a few years will make a lot of people in places where the new normal is Manhattan very angry.
Generation Zzzzzzzz.
Why would they need to know how to drive a manual when it's unlikely they will ever encounter one?
Do you know how to start a car with a crank starter?

I don't like it. And Gen Z is not my future.
I do work with quite a few of them. All of the ones I work with are conscientious, hard-working, and follow directions well. I like them and believe they are getting a bad rap which they do not deserve. They are starting out with an enormous economic handicap which they can never overcome by themselves.
I used to feel sorry for them. I still do, after a fashion. The problem is that I listen to them with sympathy, and they talk. There is a lot of frustration in their lives. They seem unsure who or what is to blame for that. What they are being told systematically in all media offerings is that it is old white guys who are to blame. Relentless propaganda is effective and some of them believe it.
I am convinced that when the orders come down from authorities to haul the inconvenient old geezers off to the "Wellness Centers" for euthanasia, it will be the Gen Z folks who implement those programs.
But a lot of those Gen Z boys and girls are not going to make it themselves to the status of "old geezers". I know of too many who have already "Died Suddenly" from causes which are not allowed to be attributed to their mRNA treatments and boosters.
Who will be living in the future that the policies of today will create.
Hopefully those who served in the armed forces who know what the real world is all about and clean up the chaos others have left them.
And this author is just yet another typical, leftist female who will just work for the government or similar for her lifetime.
