During an interview aired on Friday’s edition of the Fox Business Network’s “Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street,” Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-TN) said he believes there is a “highly likely” chance there will be a rail strike in the middle of the holidays.
Host Maria Bartiromo asked, “The president tried to act as if he had some kind of a tentative deal before the midterm elections, but we now know that four of the unions have rejected a deal which gave them, by the way, a 24% raise, but only one paid sick day. Senator, what is the likelihood that we have a rail strike right in the middle of the holidays?”

He and the unions had to pretend for the midterms. Now the serious negotiations are happening. Unions will get what they want. It’s the payoff.

It is the communist stranglehold on the nation. The “communist unions” doing this need to be harshly dealt with.

The strike will last no more than 24 hours. Under Federal railroad law in the U.S., Congress has the authority to impose a settlement on the railroads and their unions.
Congress will do exactly that between the December 9th strike date and the December 15th end of the 2022 calendar for Congress.

Of course, it’s taxpayers money and we have no seat at the table.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this time they don’t do it but, as you say, the odds are they will.

Amazing how everything just so happens to fall apart immediately after the midterms.
Just amazing coincidences everywhere.

1. I’m not Canadian.
2. There’s no upside for Congress to allow the railroads to shut down. The industries that rely on the railroads pay a fortune to lobby Congress, and this is one of those situations where their favors are called.

Yes, I beg your pardon, auto-correct took my NOT away. I know you’re not Canadian now.
But if what you’re saying is right, I would bet that congress will “settle” this near 100% on the side of the union.
That’s because neocomminsts control congress and it’s doubtful the union would strike if they thought their benefactor dems didn’t have their backs.
I’m still filling gas cans regardless.

I am betting that a rail strike will happen Dec13th / 14th. Biden recently stated to expect economic problems coming.
I wondered what he was talking about.
It is the coming rail strike and he is all for it. The democrats want to cripple the economy even more.
They view destroying jobs and having people being more dependent on the democrats as a positive.
