A famous American immigrant graduated from my high school. His legacy was “New Coke”.

Yes.
Too bad he died alone in a hotel in New York after not having any children.

Yep, Room 3327.
He possessed numerous oddities.
Everything had to be divisible by three.
Pearls disgusted him.
He preferred pigeons to humans.

That said, he designed our electrical distribution system.

Not I. I liked the original, preferably in 28 oz. leaded glass bottles from the gas station. Those are unavailable but Mexican Coke is the next best thing.

I am also U.S. born to U.S. parents.

The outlaw was Roberto Goizueta, a Cuban immigrant who came to American as a youth, went to mmy prep school, became a chemist, and rose through the ranks of Coca-Cola to become CEO. He gave the commencement address to my graduating class. He also dies years ago in his '60s of cancer. He drank New Coke to the end.

He is also NOT our most famous graduate. That would be J.P. Morgan.

None of their money or connections found their way to me.

It was The Episcopal Academy.

It was also "The Cheshire School", "The Roxbury School" and is now "The Cheshire Academy".

That’s a couple bucks for school...

Though it sounds like we had different types of classmates.

I don’t believe I have posted it to you before, but since you bring up JPM, I highly recommend the miniseries:
The Men Who Built America

It’s really well done and interesting.
I’m neither a big history or documentary guy, but it’s excellent.

That was back in the 80s and 90s when Coke came to the Corps Commander XVIII Airborne Corps zo find Captains leaving the Army. There was also a time when Coke sent former Captains into China to distribute miniaturized Bibles.

I would down good money and bet it was the same guy!

Goizueta was very much an anti-Communist, freedom loving type. His address to us was conservative and excellent. The school was already tilting left and has fallen off the cliff since.

I was a day student. A lot less money, and a lot less drama. My first year was $1,800 tuition, including a very good lunch. Prices went up, but scholarships were easy to get. The school liked to take the moneyed foreigner of the day, so there were plenty of Persians (Iran) in the late '70s early '80s. Times were tough for prep schools in the '80s. They almost all went co-ed, and had to deal with declining enrollments. Cheshire Academy sold off most of its land and a valuable building (Seabury Hall), but made it through.
