The shooter who is suspected of gunning down five people at a Colorado Springs LGBTQ nightclub Saturday identifies as “non-binary” and uses “they/them” pronouns, attorneys said Tuesday according to a court filing obtained by The New York Times.
Anderson Lee Aldrich, 22, faces several informal charges of murder and hate crimes after he allegedly stormed a nightclub, spraying bullets into the crowd before two club patrons confronted him and wrenched the firearm away, the NYT reported. The revelation that the suspect identifies as “non-binary,” one of several categories contained under the LGBTQ+ umbrella, comes amid popular narratives that animosity toward individuals who identify as LGBTQ+ motivated Aldrich’s attack.
“Anderson Aldrich is nonbinary,” a footnote to the court filing states. “They use they/them pronouns, and for the purposes of all formal filings, will be addressed as Mx. Aldrich.”

In a semi-related issue, it’s beyond illogical and plain idiotic for a non-binary
to claim to be they/them, a pronoun used to refer to two or more people.
I realize there is no explanation for sheer crazy.

Hold on. This can’t be. Non-binary?? What?! The mainstream media has been telling me for two days that Aldrich is a homophobic MAGA guy acting on the hate-filled rhetoric of Tucker Carlson and Lauren Boebert.
Not sure. Maybe "pervert".
And so, the degeneration of America continues. If someone had shot up and killed numerous people, the very last thing that would concern me would be “offending the accused”.
Really stupid to make a hate crime charge this early in the investigation.
Have the found the TRUMP 2024 poster in his, uh, ‘their’ room yet? Or maybe an autographed pic of Loren Boebert? Or do those still need to be planted. Not that the fbi would do such a thing.................
Colorado Springs Mayor John Suthers has the appearance of being a rapist, regardless of what evidence about the matter there might be.
Clearly a hate crime suspect. He hates being turned down by other dudes
now that he’s officially “non-binary” the story will fade away like the Christmas Parade murders and the 4th of July shooting. Perps don’t fit the media narrative.
Is there any prior evidence of him (it, or whatever,) being either “non binary” or “motivated by hate”?
That was my thought immediately. A rejected or jealous member of the team.
The media has already done it’s damage. It’s been GOP and gun bashing for days now.
