Russia likely stockpiled missiles to fight NATO
The New Voice of Ukraine via Yahoo ^ | November 19th, 2022 | Unattributed

This stockpile of cruise and ballistic missiles was likely used to deliver massive air strikes against Ukraine’s energy infrastructure in recent months.

“They apparently have a withhold for a notional NATO attack, which we would regard as absurd, but they regard it as a real possibility,” Cancian said.

“So they’re holding back some part of their inventory for that.”

The report further suggests that Russia has built up a stockpile of microchips and other technological components for domestic missile production before invading Ukraine on Feb. 24. In October, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin announced a set of measures to ramp up output of missiles for use in the war against Ukraine.

Hey, why don't you re-post that screenshot of my comment from 2016 again? It's very relevant today, perhaps even more so.

Thank you very much!

Damn them Russians for blowing up all the power generation in Kherson before they withdrew.

Diesel trains for the win, till Ukrainians already low supply of diesel runs out.

“I recommend they all hold their breath until that happens.”

No kidding. Sounds to me that Russia simply doesn’t throw out their older weapons. They likely store them, figuring that they could be useful in some, unexpected, future scenarios. After all, storing hardware is not particularly expensive, at least compared to the cost of building new hardware.

The US, on the other hand, has ‘expert’ institutions, such as the Neocon-run “Institute for the Study of War”. Those experts know EVERY war scenario and there is no reason for anyone to doubt their expertise, so if they say that there can never be a use for, say, and old battle-tank model, then THEY KNOW EVERYTHING, and so those tanks are melted down and steel sold to China.

In addition, Russia likely figured out that keeping SOME production of key weapons going and keeping now-unused capacity to ramp up production, puts them in a much better situation, should a need arise to produce weapons quickly. For the US, our Harvard MBAs consider that ‘a waste of resources’ and immediately cut off production funding the moment the target number is reached...after all, our MBAs know everything and the Russian approach is ‘totally yesterday’, as we’re in a new paradigm.

Damn idiots.

Exactly. The “experts” have said so many things about the missile stockpiles that I just laugh at these folks now.

I have kept track of Russia’s activities for many years.

First of all, it is past time that people stop believing propaganda. It is extremely dangerous to let this go on. In the days pre 1945 and nuclear weapons, it somewhat didn’t matter. But it does now.

Russia’s oil defines their superiority. Their oil is diesel rich. It is not diesel light as shale liquids are. This oil flow has created a particular situation that people are going to have to accept:

They are producing missiles at a rate that exceeds consumption. Even in Ukraine. There has been zero news of weapons being diverted from their considerable presence in Syria — and this is because they have no need to. You can search the web for news of Russian weaponry in the 2018 or 2019 or whatever timeframe. You’ll find news of enormous output. Don’t measure it in dollars or rubles. Measure it in missile count.

They have their own central bank. Just like the Federal Reserve. They aren’t going to run out of money. It has been absurd from day one to imagine sanctions could crush the Russian economy. Sanctions haven’t particularly bothered Iran for over a decade. Nor North Korea. Why didn’t they surrender because of sanctions?

Because they can create money from nothing, just like the Fed. NKorea buys things from China with coal. NKorea has lots of coal. Iran of course ships oil north across the Caspian, where it is mixed with Russian flow and sold.

This is real value stuff. Not bytes of movies that is our export. We import about 8 million barrels of oil every single day. How can this be good?

So, yes, Russia must be completely destroyed and its oil fields seized. This must happen or they will achieve world domination.

The bad news is they have nukes and can never happen. And so, they will win. There is nothing we can do about it.

“They apparently have a withhold for a notional NATO attack, which we would regard as absurd, but they regard it as a real possibility,” Cancian said.

Absurd...He says as NATO is attacking Russians, sunk their largest warship, blew up pipelines, built up, advises and leads the Uke army.

The US has ALWAYS over estimated our adversaries capabilities. That is kind of good, but they are also doing it for bad reasons...they want more money.
