Los Angeles County is, once again, “strongly recommending” individuals mask up, well over two-and-a-half years after the start of the Chinese coronavirus pandemic.
Los Angeles County officials cannot seem to take universal masking off the table, as they are now urging individuals to mask up in indoor settings. They are attributing this to the rise in their seven-day average of coronavirus cases, which reportedly jumped from 65 cases per 100,000 two weeks ago to 86 per 100,000 last week. Now, they are reporting 100 new cases per 100,000.

Flew across the country yesterday for the first time in a year. I was shocked at how many people are still wearing masks in airports and on airplanes. Almost all older women with Karen haircuts, Bidung voters all.
Yes, masks are fomites. Depressing how many folks are entirely incurious.

This constant fear of being sick is like a new currency. Just look at the threads on Twitter. If you’re a woman with glasses on in your profile pic just whine about needing a mask 24 7 and you’ll get thousands of likes. Horrible times.

Just flew FL to CA and back. Very few masks in airports and on planes. Less than 10%.
Every doctor I’ve visited lately is wearing a mask. I find this annoying because I am hard of hearing. But more importantly, seeing someone’s face is half of the information you get from the discussion. I’ve taken to saying, “what I understood you to mean is xxxx.” Sometimes I’m surprised that what I understood is not what they meant.
Incidentally, it’s fifty/fifty for the nurses and outside staff to be wearing a mask. When they are wearing them, they frequently pull them down while talking. This gives me the impression the masks are for show, and they know it.
I “strongly recommend” that LA sends me a check for $1 million.
Masks. Do. Not. Work. Never did, don’t now, and with the technology available, probably never will.
Wearing a mask is putting up a chain-link fence to keep the mosquitos out. COVID-19 Wuhan virus particles pass freely through the threads of even the most closely-woven cloth mask or the pores of the vast majority of paper face masks.
N-95 masks MIGHT work for up to two hours, but are useless after that brief period, or anytime the mask surface becomes moistened, through the moisture-laden breath being exhaled, or by perspiration beneath the mask.
People are mostly done with masks, but the left is going by the age old saying, “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again”.

Here in Memphis the locals are always masked up. Half the population have warrants out on them. It’s too funny.
