With these fighting words, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis hailed his sweeping re-election victory last week. DeSantis trounced his opponent, Democrat Charlie Crist, by 1.5 million votes. The blatant gerrymander he masterminded helped Republicans flip four House seats in the state. The results leave little doubt that Florida is now firmly a red state and that he is the non-Trump front-runner for the 2024 presidential nomination.
But while Tuesday was a big win for DeSantis, it was a loser for "DeSantis-ism." His war on wokeness, attacks on liberals, and divisive culture war politics played well in Florida, but elsewhere it landed with a resounding thud.

More than one person can be a conservative. Not everyone who isn't Trump is a GOPe stooge. People other than Trump can also be a thorn in the liberal side.

Strange. I don’t think MSN would have accused Florida of being mega conservative 4 - 6 years ago.
What are the afraid of?
That the things DeSantis did for Florida, like open up early after covid, would play well to a lot of people... maybe?
You always have to ask yourself, why do they write what they do.

DeSantis and similar camidates play well in places without mail in voting fraud.
This is obvious.
reagan was going to start WW3, then reasonable after office
bush was just a warmonger, then reasonable after office
w bush was evil idiot, then reasonable after office
McCain was reasonable in senate when voting with dems, then evil when running, then reasonable afterwards.
Romney was evil in weird underwater when running, then reasonable afterwards.
Trump was loved by the democrats, but suddenly became a racist when he ran as a Republican, then became an insurrectionist and an election denier.
DeSantis is DeSatan if Florida, but when comparing with Trump, he is reasonable, but if he becomes the nominee will suddenly be worse than trump and DeSatin again.
Incumbents won just about everywhere. If you have a seat, you can get away with saying a lot of things that challengers can’t.
WHY DO WE EVEN CARE WHAT MSNBC SAYS?
They have a tiny audience, and we amplify that every time we repeat “MSNBC Says...” or “CNN says...”

Only in Dem-run states that don’t have fair elections. DeSantis made sure Florida’s were on the level.
When Big Media speaks, I hear only the sound of flatulence.
Some of the places where conservatism lost were also places where free and fair elections aren’t the norm.
The left is already beginning to attack Desantis because he is a threat to their stranglehold on power. They will transform him into an image of hitler and repeat it over and over.
DeSantis turned blue into red. He is a leader with a positive message. The left is very afraid of him.
The red wave happened in Fla because Ron Locked out the voter fraud. That is the truth and there were news outlets that were actually reporting that truth for a couple of days. That story is dead now. Completely dead. Maybe Tucker but that’s it.

The red wave happened in states where they didn't try or couldn't try fraud.
An example of the first scenario is NYS. An example of the second scenario is FL.
Place where the red wave didn't happen because of fraud? AZ, MI, NV, NH are examples.
