They don’t actually give context to her statement and I suspect this is fake. Unless her quote has a question before it it’s not easily ties to a swipe at Trump.

For one simple reason: his enemies will report and share every little thing he says because they think they are hurting him by doing so. A "rational-sounding" Republican will just be marginalized and ignored by the MSM, and their softer message will get nowhere.

This is a direct quote and Lewandowski was there as well so likely he would as well if it were false.
Lewandowski is angry at Trump so this is likely a correct quote.
