Russia's military is third-world, at best, and the war in Ukraine has more than proven that. I'm sure Russian propaganda has contributed to the illusion of their strength, but our own military industrial complex has also been complicit, exaggerating their abilities to secure substantial funding to fight a non-existent adversary.
Back in the late 80s and early 90s we used to play complicated simulation games, and hardware such as the M1 Abrams outmatched Soviet T-72s or T-80s by a 5-to-1 margin (at least 5 Soviet tanks to take out one Abrams). The Gulf War was the proving grounds that showed those sims were accurate, and their modern equipment is no better, maybe worse.
Air power sims were slightly more favorable to the Soviets, but still no match for top-of-the-line US aircraft.
China may be another matter altogether, but I have my doubts. Again, propaganda-driven strength to project/maintain super-power status.
If Russia can’t beat Ukraine, how do you think it can beat the U.S.?

Ukraine doesn't need air superiority, it just needs to deny Russia air superiority. Which it has done.

Russians are flying upwards of 60+ sorties a day over Ukraine in support of Russian offensive probes and pushes.
And what air craft Ukraine has is being destroyed as fast as it appears. Same goes for its air defense platforms in the battlefield.

I once heard Angelo Dundee describe Roberto Duran as a cold, calculating kind of a guy who you'd never see flustered or off of his basic game and the same holds true for Vladimir Putin. If Putin was anything less than totally certain that his military could take any combination of US/nato forces, the conflict in Malorossiya would not be happening.
Putin went into the thing believing that at some point the hohos would come to their senses and the problems would be resolved via negotiation. He has now been totally disabused of that sort of thinking and has taken the gloves off.
LOL! I would say maybe folks have learned their lesson, but I probably know better than to be that hopeful.
The money dries up, along with military hardware like tanks, planes, artillery, etc. and the Ukraine House of Cards collapses. Done. Game over. Zelenskyyidiot and his cohort better have plans for easy escape all I got to say...
