Biden quickly regrets making news on abortion at press conference: 'I shouldn't have answered your question

President Joe Biden made news when he said he wasn't confident in codifying abortion rights legislation Monday, but he seemed to regret saying it, telling a reporter that he "shouldn't have answered" his question.

At the end of a solo press conference in Indonesia, after Biden took pre-planned questions from several reporters, NBC's Peter Alexander shouted out whether Americans could expect anything in Congress "as it relates to abortion rights."

"I don’t think they can expect much of anything other than we’re going to maintain our positions. I’m not going to get into more questions. I shouldn’t have even answered your question," Biden said.

And the appropriate follow-up would be, "why wouldn't you answer a simple policy question?"

Bidens staff walks back just about everything the guy says. So much so they need special shoes.

What he said wasn’t WRONG, just too soon. He was supposed to wait until congress had time for everyone to go out and spout off their feelings on the issue for a month, and then have a vote that would fail. He’s skipped straight to the end.

Biden: See, I usually babble incoherently and then you can ignore my statements. And answering a controversial question is something I just do not do in all these years of being a politician. I am deeply ashamed I answered with the truth today.

The Supreme Court has ruled that Abortion is not a federal issue but that of the individual states. Not in the Constitution don’t you know. A Constitutional Amendment would be needed to federalize the matter.

Good point! So, they had planned to try to pass this as a law, and if it somehow managed to pass, it would go to court and be thrown out. They have a history of passing crap that they know isn’t constitutional, and just wait for it to be struck down.

“Bidens staff walks back just about everything the guy says. So much so they need special shoes. “

Instead of the video that shows Biden mispronouncing words and losing his place. Trump should play a video at his rallies that shows Biden making one statement followed immediately by his White House staff “walking it back”. It’s happened so many times. Not that Democrats care about policy anyway.

Every time Trump mocks people with any kind of infirmity, even dementia, he loses voters because so many people have had to deal with loved ones with infirmaties, especially dementia

Bidens comments have nothing to do with dementia. He’s been spewing the same absurdities for 40 years. The media tried to tell us for years in the 1990’s. They ran prime time coverage of his lies, plagiarism, racist comments, bad behavior, for about three years. Nobody seemed to care?
