GIORDANO: The Three Reasons for PA’s GOP Debacle — And How to Fix It
Delaware Valley Journal ^ | 11/14/22 | Dom Giordano

Posted on 11/14/2022 6:10:15 AM PST by Dr. Scarpetta

Last week’s anticipated Red Wave wasn’t even a Red Puddle, and it could be argued, Pennsylvania was the GOP’s biggest disappointment of them all.

Pennsylvania Republicans didn’t flip a single seat in Congress, they lost a U.S. Senate seat, weren’t competitive in the governor’s race, and even handed over control of the state House of Representatives.

All this at a time when Democrats were defending an unpopular president and a struggling economy.

I have three major reasons for the losses here in Pennsylvania and some solutions Republicans must adopt.

The first reason is spelled out in just two words: DOUG MASTRIANO.

Mastriano lost so badly that if you removed Philadelphia and Pittsburgh from the voting, Democrat Attorney General Josh Shapiro still beat him by 195,000 votes.

How is that even possible?

In LANCASTER County, Republican registered voters outnumber Democrats by 64,453. And yet Mastriano only beat Shapiro by 4,399, the smallest margin of any Republican gubernatorial nominee in modern history.

Even Scott Wagner, the previous Republican nominee who got drubbed by Gov. Tom Wolf (D), won the county by a 6,189 margin.

In BUCKS County around 40,000 fewer voters supported Mastriano than voted for winning Republican candidate Brian Fitzpatrick.

I had to beg Mastriano to bring his campaign to our area.

It was also clear to me that there was no infrastructure to take on a force like Shapiro.

When Mastriano announced he would not support any exceptions to a total ban on abortions in Pennsylvania, I knew any hope of a victory was dead, and I said so at the time.

No one will win a race for statewide office in Pennsylvania demanding a ban on all abortions without exception.

Republicans will never cheat to the extent the Rats have mastered. War is a more likely outcome.

There is one reason.

Massive fraud in mail in ballots.

I can point to three features of Mastriano's campaign that gave every indication that he was destined for a humiliating defeat:

1. His refusal to speak to the mainstream media. I know the MSM is the enemy. But they have an audience, and any coverage of a campaign amounts to free advertising. Who came up with this brilliant idea for a major political campaign?

2. That "Desert Storm Veteran" hat. The first time I saw his website photo with that stupid hat on several months ago, I knew this guy was a loser. Desert Storm was more than 30 years ago, dude ... and hardly anyone even remembers it. And very few voters are impressed with that anymore. Importantly, he didn't need to appeal to veterans, who are going to vote for him overwhelmingly anyway. This speaks to a bigger issue in his campaign that I'll address below in Item #3.

3. Turning his political campaign into a religious crusade. I have the utmost respect for dedicated Christians ... but, my heavens -- most American voters in large urban areas are completely turned off by that overt religiosity in politics. They find it weird at best and off-putting in most cases. This goes to the bigger point I mentioned above: I never saw any aspect of Mastriano's campaign that was aimed at attracting a single voter who wasn't already a dedicated supporter.

I hope we never hear from this loser again.

Why did DeSantis win by 20 points in a 51-49 GOP-Dem state?

THIS IS WHY: FLORIDA ARRESTS PEOPLE FOR FELONY VOTE HARVESTING. [Which is legal and massive in Rat-run states.]

“Florida state department investigating voter fraud allegations in Orlando”

Florida state department investigating voter fraud allegations in Orlando

The new Florida Office of Election Crimes and Security investigated a voter fraud allegation in Orange County and has referred the matter to law enforcement for possible prosecution in the alleged ballot harvesting scheme.

The Florida Department of State confirmed to the Washington Examiner that the OECS conducted a “preliminary investigation” and has since handed the complaint over to the Department of Law Enforcement.

A former Democratic candidate for an Orange County commissioner seat told the Washington Times that she provided a sworn complaint to the agency stating that left-wing groups have coordinated a scheme to collect absentee ballots from black voters in the area, sometimes changing or discarding the ballots to elect their preferred candidates.

“The [OECS] was made aware of this issue around September 1, 2022. After further inquiry, OECS received additional information related to the allegation on October 17, 2022, and performed a preliminary investigation,” a spokesman told the Washington Examiner. “Since OECS is an investigative entity and does not have authority to make arrests, the office forwarded the complaint to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement for possible violation of section 104.0616, Florida Statutes.”

That section of the state statutes makes it a felony for anyone other than the voter’s immediate family to transfer an absentee ballot, with exceptions for residential care facilities. Cynthia Harris, the Democrat who made an unsuccessful bid for District 6 county commissioner in the Orlando area, said left-leaning groups would target voters likely to use absentee ballots and then show up to collect the ballot in violation of state law.

“They know a whole year ahead who they are going to target and who they’re going to prey upon,” Harris told the Washington Times. “They get them to fill out an absentee ballot request, usually a year ahead of time. Then they’ll knock on their doors, and they’ll say, ‘You received the absentee ballot, and we’re here to pick it up.’”

Harris’s complaint continues that the ballot collectors would steam open the envelopes to check if they supported their candidates and, if not, would change or discard them. She alleges that the operation has gone on for decades, that she has video evidence from 2014 and 2017, and that the group did the same thing during the 2020 election and 2022 primaries.

Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) signed the law creating the OECS in April and upped the penalty for ballot harvesting from a first-degree misdemeanor to a third-degree felony punishable by up to five years in prison and a $5,000 fine. In 2021, he signed the law making it so that only relatives can handle mail-in ballots.

DeSantis has pushed for Florida to secure its elections, saying in April, “Twenty years ago, nobody thought Florida was a prime example of how to conduct elections, but we have become a national leader by running the most secure elections in the country.”

We went a Mastriano small rally at a Nazareth, PA restaurant. Mastriano refused to go in the front door because the media was there. Instead, he went around the block into an alley and came in the back door. The whole event was low key.

My Dad taught me that,

“Whenever there is big money involved, someone’s going to find a way to cheat.”

Politics is about big money…..trillions of dollars.

Other nations work hard to influence our elections.

The Chinese have billions of dollars and they use that resource to influence our elections.

This makes our elections an international concern.

Our military is formidable, but it is controlled by elections.

Other nations have learned that they don’t have to tangle with our jet fighters.

They just have to buy some influential Americans.

Everything the Republicans in Harrisburg tried to do regarding election laws was vetoed by (D) Governor Wolf. Plus we were doomed by Act 77, which Mastriano was a part of.

This. There’s no reason our side can’t match GOTV efforts and mail in ballots. We screwed the pooch in 2020 now we are paying for it. I hate it as much as anyone should. But dammit it’s time to accept it and work the laws to OUR advantage.

I hope we never hear from this loser again.

Uh...Doug is still a duly-elected State Senator, and 2.2 million Pennsylvanians voted for him.

He won't be going away.

Explain ballot fraud for that
