Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is vowing to push Russian forces from Ukraine after Kyiv retook the strategic city of Kherson.

“We will see many more such greetings,” Zelensky said in his nightly address on Saturday. “In those cities and villages that are still under occupation. We don’t forget anyone, we won’t leave anyone. Thanks to our defense operations and diplomacy, we will definitely reach our state border — all sections of the internationally recognized border of Ukraine.”

First, the claim that the NATO promised that it would never expand east is a lie. Gorbachev himself even confirmed that, And he oughta knows since he was the one who negotiated it.

Second, I call you and anyone else who claims that Russia feared an invasion from NATO a flat out liar. Everybody and their brother knew that NATO was investing less and less in military forces each year. Further, if Putin truly believed that NATO wanted to invade Russia, he never would have risked invading Ukraine in the first place. The only reason he felt free to invade Ukraine is that he knew NATO would not become directly involved militarily. And that is not the mindset of an alliance set on conquering Russia.

The only reason Putin "feared" NATO expansion was that he knew he could no longer invade and conquer a country if it was a member of NATO. Because he has long wanted to reconstitute the Soviet Union, he "feared" his aggressive military ambitions could not be met once Ukraine joined.

The idea that Russia and Putin, and clowns like you, actually believe that NATO was going to invade nuclear-armed Russia is a flat-out joke.

You're the one repeating Biden regime propaganda that isn't believable to anyone that knows anything about what is going on.

You're disgrace. You're doing the bidding of Biden, neocons, the WEF and George Soros.

Like you’ll be interested in spending the time reading the actual documents. You won’t find this in your media masters’ feeding trough, so here you go.

Its silly to argue that Gorbachev “heard” something, when the man himself is on record saying that there was no promise, with regards to NATO expansion. Soviet Foreign Minister, Eduard Shevardnadze, later president of Georgia, concurred.

We do know that Ukraine never acknowledged the internationally recognized Minsk II accord, an agreement that they signed

WRONG

Russia also signed Minsk, which required Russia to respect Ukraine's sovereignty - which Russia never did

Russia sent in those "little green men", funded & armed violent separatist groups inside Ukraine, and invaded Crimea in 2014

if you want to talk about "Minsk", make sure you mention Russia's multiple violations of its terms

In 2015, Russia removed all troops from Ukraine except Crimea. Here's a map of Russian forces outside Ukraine in January 2022 if you don't believe me:

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2022/01/07/world/europe/ukraine-maps.html

Crimea was not addressed in the Minsk II agreement (you, the Ukrainians, and the neocons made up that clause later). Russia regarded Crimea as sovereign territory and would not have signed the accord if they were required to remove troops from Crimea. You can read the Minsk II agreement yourself. It's not long, only about one page:

just think, if the US had not help overthrow the Ukraine gov. and not supplied and trained the Ukes to attack Russian populated Eastern Ukraine, this would have never happened.
Think about it when you try to assign blame.

The idea that Russia and Putin.... actually believe that NATO was going to invade nuclear-armed Russia is a flat-out joke.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Actually NATO wants to move in missile installations into the Ukraine that will target the Crimea, which requires technology and guarding said armaments but no need for a ground invasion.
The CIA and other like minded organizations around the world, with state support, overthrew the Ukraine in the 2014-2015 Color Revolution. Those nations then used their taxpayer’s money to build the Ukrainian army to 600,000 troops.
Not many of those remain in fighting form, with at least 100K dead and 200,000 to 400,000 injured. What’s left are less trained and essentially canon fodder. Zelensky and his puppet masters are just throwing those remaining troops at Russia with continuous attack, against the advice of Americans in country, in order to create the optics that he is ‘winning’ so that the money will keep flowing into the Ukraine in the name of ‘foreign aid’ where it is laundered and most of it sent back to traitorous people in the donor nations and elsewhere.
40% of the weapons sent to the Ukraine has been sold to other nations including ISIS.
Biden’s regime sent an ‘advance party’ of around 100 people with a 3 star general to the Ukraine. That’s what usually happens when a nation prepares to send it’s own armies to a foreign nation to fight. Biden appears to be doing all he can to get us into the war he and other NATO countries want so badly.
Russia withdrew troops from Kherson because the Ukraine was going to blow the bridge, trapping them west of it. The fact that soldiers remain on the western side of the river seems to indicate that the Ukrainians blew the bridge before all troops could be pulled back.
Russian troops will return in a few weeks and when they do, they will not be using volunteer troops and old equipment, but will send first string troops heavily armed to finish this conflict, so that means Biden/NATO etc. need to start WWIII before then.
So it is your belief that Russia is going to retake Kherson City with these new troops? And by when do you expect that to happen. A "few weeks?". Before the end of 2022?
Shouldn't you be guzzling vodka in the center of Kherson right now, celebrating the final destruction of the Ukrainian army as it was destroyed trying to retake the city? That is what you said would happen, right?
Your post history is there for anyone who wants to look at it and see how consistently you've been pushing a bogus Russian narrative about the imminent destruction of the Ukrainian army, going all the way back to March.
You"ve been called out here by loads of folks, repeatedly proven wrong, but then just keep spewing the same drivel.
Russians don’t want to remain west of the river and are only there due to the conflict. Two regions in the land east of the river, which are majority Russian, are independent and do not want to be ‘rescued’ by Zelensky and Putin accepts their independence. Other regions east of the river want to join Russia.
Everything west of the River is traditionally Ukrainian speaking Ukrainians and putin accepts that. He does not accept NATO’s plan to establish missiles to target Russia in any part of the Ukraine.
No. It’s been discussed in international circles for quite some time. All NATO nations knew that Russia would not let that happen, so they used the Ukraine to fight their proxy war (non Nato country).
Ukraine basically took over an empty city that the Russians didn't want to, at this time, want to defend because they didn't want utilize any resources on it.
How are things in Kiev with the hours long rolling blackouts? Ukraine is welfare state only being propped up by billions of US taxpayers. The Ukraine project! What an investment of taxpayer dollars. But, the Bidens, Soros and Clintons have all gotten rich. I bet you're getting a small piece of the pie, too.
