Democrat Marie Gluesenkamp Perez defeats Republican Joe Kent in WA House race

Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, an auto shop owner who was a virtual unknown before August’s primary election, pulled off perhaps the most stunning political upset in the country this year, winning a congressional seat in Southwest Washington that few saw as competitive.

Gluesenkamp Perez, a Democrat, defeated Donald Trump-endorsed Republican Joe Kent on Saturday in Washington’s 3rd Congressional District, with roughly 50.5% of the vote.

This seat was Rep +13 two years ago. No amount of cheating changes that. The district was deep Red.

The person I blame most is McConnell, second is McCarthy. Thirdly the RNC, which has done nothing to try and beat the dems at their own game. Fourth, all the republican majority state houses and republican governors who failed to do what DeSantis and the Florida house did to make elections honest. Every year the same crooked states steal the elections right under our noses and nothing happens. One thing we can count on though, things are going to get worse every day that dems are in control. Todays Americans have not really seen what something like the Great Depression was like, but they will if things don’t change. I will be 70 in February and in many ways I am hopeful that I won’t have to witness the very end of America. When I was a child I remember America as a God fearing nation that believed in the freedom our forefathers gave their lives for. Now its a God hating nation fill with depraved people who demand Christians accept their depraved sinful lifestyles as normal. Oh how low we have become! I pray every day for Christ return.

Kent knocked off pro-impeachment Republican Beutler in the primary. A shame he didn't get the seat. In any event, eight out of ten in the House are GONE.

Traitor State/District Status
Liz Cheney            (WY‑AL) DEFEATED IN PRIMARY
Anthony Gonzalez      (OH‑16) NOT RUNNING
Jaime Herrera Beutler (WA‑03) DEFEATED IN PRIMARY

Tom Rice              (SC‑07) DEFEATED IN PRIMARY
Fred Upton            (MI‑06) NOT RUNNING

trying to protect themselves from their own...

It’s sure interesting how we sit here winning nothing while
the Dems tee it up and hit holes in one, one after another.

But why is Kent in this position? The previous rep whom Kent defeated in the primary won in 2020 by 13% ?

Though I hate to get sucked into the horse race speculation so far ahead of the post time, Trump is the only one to be independent of the DS [FU money is very strong mojo]. He may be a sure “looser” in 2024, but so are all else.

McDaniel, Romney’s niece , must be replaced. She’s done a lousy job. Every year the same crap happens from the same places. She should of had overseers & lawyers ready to spring into action. We just stand by and take it. The 1/6 Patriots had it right when they protested Trump’s stolen election.

The district was deep Red.

Not deep red. Obama won the district in 2008. The seat has flip-flopped back and forth between Republicans and Democrats since 1994.

It didn’t help Kent that Jaime Herrera Beutler refused to endorse him, and would not disclose who she voted for. It will take another round or two to chase the Establishment Republicans out of the party.

I did not vote for either of my presented RINO choices.

There will be many more Conservatives on Capital Hill in
January. Is that a plus or not?

Mitch and the House leaders have been protecting RINOs
for decades. That had to stop. What Trump tried to do
was important, because no one else was challenging
RINOs and replacing them, then getting them elected.

We are very close to taking the House, but we may not
make it. I’m still glad for the chance for more like
minded people being in the House, even if it’s not our
time to lead yet.

It took decades for things to get this bad, and our
team seems to think one mid-term election should fix
everything.

If we had taken the lead with RINOs in our camp, we
would have lost a lot of votes, because our RINO camp
crossed over a lot. Liz Cheney ring any bells?

I’m hopeful the House will be ours, but maybe not.

Isn’t this what the GOPe leadership hoped for? Yes.

Trump did his best, and I’m grateful for it.

So, Tuesday’s election was lost Saturday night, at 11:00 PM?

Got it.

How so? Most of the GOP Congress consists of incumbents. The new people are mostly newbies in purple districts who took care to keep their distance from Trump. Super Trumpy Lauren Boebert is ahead of her opponent by 0.4% despite being an incumbent who won by 6% in 2020. Fact is her district was marginally red. Acting like it was crimson red almost cost her the election.

If MAGAs won’t vote for GOPe candidates then why should GOPers vote for MAGAs? You know the goose gander thing. Funny you never see the Dems form these circular firing squads.

You’ve already worn that tripe out, over and over.

Trump had a very large success rate of turning out RINOs
during the primaries.

Now a large portion of them were elected to the House.

Is this too complex for you?

You honestly didn’t pay attention to the primaries?
