LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — On the heels of many elections being called in the state of Nevada Friday, one of the highest-profile contests in the nation remains undecided. The race between incumbent Democrat Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto, and Republican Adam Laxalt has yet to be called with the delta between the two candidates’ vote totals standing at just 800 votes.
According to Clark County Registrar of Voters Joe Gloria, there are approximately 22,000 ballots to be counted. 268 ballots arrived via the US Postal Service Saturday, Gloria said, adding that he expected the counting to be completed on Saturday.
Not included in that total are 7,139 that remain in the cure process, and 5,555 provisional ballots, of which only the eligible ballots will be added to the count.

Voters with questions can also call (702) 455-6552. The hotline will be open through the weekend during business hours. The Clark County Election Department has until Thursday, Nov. 17 to report to the Secretary of State’s Office, according to state law.
On Friday, Gloria announced that nearly 16,000 ballots would be added to the total, with approximately 50,000 more needing to be counted. Friday evening’s vote total was enough to cinch up several races in Nevada, including the race for governor where Republican Joe Lombardo came out ahead of Democrat Gov. Steve Sisolak.

The election results do not reflect that. In almost all cases outcomes were changed by late mail-in ballots.
A statistician would wonder why so many samples sizes and techiques and methodologies pointed in one direction, while the actual outcome differed.
Imagine a bin filled with 1000 ping pong balls, half of them black, half of them white. Statisticians are asked to predict the color of 100 balls drawn at random. The bin is handed to an agent who takes the bin into the back room, and returns later with 100 black balls. This is repeated, again, and again. Each time the outcome is the same: 100 black balls.
Wouldn't an honest statistician be curious about what produced the outcome?
Since this is a country of good people who trust their election officials to honestly count the votes for a fair and correct outcome, what do we have to worry about?🤩
