Trump voters are ‘done’ with ex-president: ‘He needs to disappear’
The New York Post ^ | November 11, 2022 | Salena Zito

The chickens have come home to roost for Donald Trump in Pennsylvania. After he stuck his nose in the state’s Republican primary process last May against the guidance of his most loyal advisers, many of his once-devoted followers say they are done with the former president.

(snip)

“If you’re a Republican in Pennsylvania and you look at Donald Trump’s bigfooting of the people in Pennsylvania and the implosion of his candidates in Pennsylvania, you’re pretty upset,” said Urban, a Washington-based strategist who grew up in Beaver County, Pa.

Urban said his phone has been ringing all week with county chairs and committee people who tell him they’ve had it with Trump.

“They said, ‘Look, we’re done. We’re done with him. He cost us this election and we’re done.’”

He’s not the only one. All day Wednesday my phone lit up with calls and emails from voters who expressed the exact same frustration. One woman said she saw the writing on the wall last weekend when Trump decided to take a swipe at Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis — calling him “Ron DeSanctimonious” — while he campaigned for Oz and Mastriano in Pennsylvania.

And when Trump went on to tease that he was going to announce “something big” next week (presumably his run for president in 2024), she knew it would hurt Oz on Election Day.

“I had a pit-of-my-stomach moment as I watched the rally,” said the former Trump fan, who did not want to be named. “It is hard to quit Trump — I voted for him twice enthusiastically.” But “at this juncture, I think we have to move forward to a new generation of leaders.”

Yeah, too many chicken littles here listening to Tokyo Rove types on TV. I Can’t stand mentally weak morons who jump ship at the slightest move. Nothing but a bunch of sunshine patriots that act like narcissists too worried about how the look in the eyes of their liberal friends or family. No back bone and no faithfulness, they should move to the DU.

Oz didn’t lose because of his political views. He lost because he was perceived as a carpet-bagger from New Jersey. Among the Pennsylvanians I know, that was a big deal.

Question for Trump and Trump Supporters: If a candidate that Trump supported has to make a choice in the future between the Constitution and Donald Trump, which should they choose?

I’m staying with Trump.

I now feel that this is an attempt by the DNC and never Trumper’s to split our ranks.

I think Trump has a tremendous amount of shortcomings, but I’m sticking with him.

Our best plan would be four years of Trump and eight years of DeSantis.

But God damn does. Trump piss me off sometimes! Lol.

> Thank you. The attempt to destroy Trump will accelerate. And if he falters, they will blow up DeSantis.

As of late Trump seems to be destroying himself, however you are right in pointing out DeSantis is their next target.

And yet another temper tantrum display from the guy whose state votes in a dead guy, in a LANDSLIDE, yet wants to blame Trump for the lost Senate race.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA

Trump piss me off sometimes! Lol.

I think I get it, but I’ve always admired people, that forge ahead, believing they’re doing the right thing.

Forget him, he exposed his entire family, to this crap.

Trump only had a couple of weeks left. He, as well as the vast majority of this country’s citizens, were under the impression that the “fair and speedy trial” amendment still meant what it said. Who among us could have foreseen the atrocities that have occurred since then?

The PA losses had nothing to do with Trump. PA Republicans voted for Oz in the primary.

PA Democrats liked Fetterman. They saw him as one of the guys. Democrats stick together, and they voted for him.

Nothing personal against Trump. He did a great job. But now his ego is in the way. So we have to tell him to F off!

People that might be looking for a scapegoat? Maybe it’s their fault PA was unwinnable. You’d think they’d know the State well. Why couldn’t they field an unbeatable candidate?
