Trump voters are ‘done’ with ex-president: ‘He needs to disappear’
The New York Post ^ | November 11, 2022 | Salena Zito

The chickens have come home to roost for Donald Trump in Pennsylvania. After he stuck his nose in the state’s Republican primary process last May against the guidance of his most loyal advisers, many of his once-devoted followers say they are done with the former president.

(snip)

“If you’re a Republican in Pennsylvania and you look at Donald Trump’s bigfooting of the people in Pennsylvania and the implosion of his candidates in Pennsylvania, you’re pretty upset,” said Urban, a Washington-based strategist who grew up in Beaver County, Pa.

Urban said his phone has been ringing all week with county chairs and committee people who tell him they’ve had it with Trump.

“They said, ‘Look, we’re done. We’re done with him. He cost us this election and we’re done.’”

He’s not the only one. All day Wednesday my phone lit up with calls and emails from voters who expressed the exact same frustration. One woman said she saw the writing on the wall last weekend when Trump decided to take a swipe at Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis — calling him “Ron DeSanctimonious” — while he campaigned for Oz and Mastriano in Pennsylvania.

And when Trump went on to tease that he was going to announce “something big” next week (presumably his run for president in 2024), she knew it would hurt Oz on Election Day.

“I had a pit-of-my-stomach moment as I watched the rally,” said the former Trump fan, who did not want to be named. “It is hard to quit Trump — I voted for him twice enthusiastically.” But “at this juncture, I think we have to move forward to a new generation of leaders.”

Paul Ryan runs FOX.

FOX wants DeSantis/ Scott. Or DeSantis/ Haley

The Media floods with the Trump is toxic narrative - and peeps always believe what they see on TV.

You have to follow actions and not words.

Lindsey Graham makes it sound like he’s a raging Conservative on TV - and he ushered thru all Joe’s peeps, Judges, and funded his agenda and protected Joe at critical times.

Ignore the words, and follow the actions.

The voters screwed Pennsylvania over not Trump

Just an aside ... it was ballots that screwed Pennsylvania over.

OK, that's a little like "guns kill people", but that's how believable it is these days that legitimate votes select people for office.

Trump doesn’t need to disappear — yet; but he’s in trouble if he doesn’t stop picking fights with with rising Republicans who are getting good things done to save America.

This isn't "picking fights with with rising Republicans". This is a warning shot against someone who appears to be seriously considering running for POTUS in 2024, who has done the following:
  1. Endorsed a so-called Republican (O'Dea) who promised to do everything in his to keep President Trump from gaining the 2024 Nomination.
  2. Created a truly cringe-worthy and Sanctimonious add about the "8th day of creation" that referred to himself.
  3. After President Trump single-handedly dragged him over the finish line in his first Run for Fl Governorship, refuses to state publicly that he will not attempt a run against President Trump, but avoids the question.
  4. Takes millions of dollars from Globalist/Establishment donors.
  5. Is the preferred choice for almost all of the Globalist/Establiment politicians for the 2024 GOP POTUS nomination
Please, either don't be ignorant of what is going on here, or stop lying.

This isn't bad behavior on the part of Trump.

It's a Warning Shot to DeSantis.

Why do you always blame trump and not frauds?

PA is the keystone of fraud.

Primary voters chose Oz over the other two choices.

Simple as that.

Yeah, let's see how much smaller the crowd is next time Trump has a rally.

Trump has *plenty* of blemishes. However, he's the only national leader who's given a rat's azz for me for my entire 64 years, so I have no trouble overlooking his blemishes.

“ General Patton was always getting into trouble because he couldn’t hold his opinions back. And his very high opinion of himself.”

??

?

Patton is one of our great heroes. If you’re not willing to piss people off how are you going to win?

My great Uncle M Was Patton’s exec. My great Aunt L, M’s sister (both born in the 19 aughts) said that when Patton died M cried all night She said I never saw my brother cry, only twice- and they grew up tough in an Irish neighborhood in. The Bronx during the depression.

She said “I saw my brother cry twice and once was when Patton died. He cried all night”

It’s really a matter of who is the guy, the leader being mean to? All great men, women, are mean to the right enemies.

Even Mother Teresa pissed off a lot of people. The Clintons. She read them the riot act on the world stage over abortion

OK, spell it out.

What is your point?

Don’t be obtuse, and don’t expect people to read your mind.

Attacking DeSantis - the best and most respected Governor in the country - imperiled Trump’s standing with a lot of conservatives.

Trump should drop that and use his fame / following / fortune to roast Biden, Pelosi, McConnell, Romney, and other members of the uniparty.

You’re right about Zito. She’s very sharp, and likely has as good a handle on this as anyone.

Trump didn’t extend much loyalty to the J6 protesters, did he? He could have issued a blanket pardon to everyone there, but he didn’t. He decided to keep his head down and protect his political future from being cancelled in the senate after the House was certain to impeach him. Meanwhile, his most loyal supporters are getting their lives destroyed by Biden’s SS/DOJ as the result of his inaction.

You can add not saying much of anything about the raid on Trump’s FL home.

And I’ve not heard him say anything about the Jan 6 prisoners.

Ikr!

It’s obvious. We’re looking straight at one of those optical illusions, with our adversaries shining lasers in our eyes. These adversaries are desperate to get us to move, knowing we stand on and own a gold mine. They WANT our city on the hill. Two faced and three hearted, they smile and smile.

Shakespearean.

You were objecting to the comment that trump was unduly influenced by celebrity.
