I’m a teacher and got my insurance property and casualty licenses easily and I’m no genius. Because of the test I learned everything there is to know about the subject. That’s why there’s a test.
I have yet to see a single example of how these tests are discriminatory and disadvantage minorities. SO...
This leads me to believe that those filing suit are either making an odd admission that the supposedly “affected minorities” really are incapable of passing a test that any human with enough brain to be a fireman or police officer ought to be able to pass with their eyes close... OR
They are racist towards themselves - wrongly believing that minorities are not smart enough to pass said tests.
One’s “mind”, when boggled too many times, loses all ability to care...
The average American IQ, currently around 60, is still on a steep descent toward 20...

My 1st hand experience was when I considered joining the city fire rescue where I live.
This was back in 1978 or ‘79.
Of course way before computers, I saw an ad in the paper stating job openings for fire rescue training program so I went to city hall to apply.
When I found the job board there it was in capital letters:
“Hiring county fire rescue trainees”
“BLACK APPLICANTS ONLY NEED APPLY”
I ended up spending 31 years working for the DoD where diversity is king......or queen really.
All affirmative action hiring policies do is cause the mission to be less effective as it otherwise would be.....and may even be responsible for getting people killed.
This type of policy is specifically anti-white and in the end anti-American. Whites better find a voice soon, or they will be completely disenfranchised over time.

The disadvantage doesn’t arise from the tests, or from the qualification standards, but from the crappy education and nonexistent family structure the minorities experience growing up. And it can hardly be unfair, because they tend to vote for it.

Numerous tests are showing the same thing. A rational response would be to act on the conclusions shown by the repeated results.

IMHO this is not about “diversity or equity” rather it is about concentrating fascist, democrat power. Usually, things are never as they seem on the surface.

Firefighting is a lot more than lifting ladders and pointing hoses. It takes real knowledge of building structure and electrical hazards, chemical hazards, explosives, terrorist strategy, confined space hazards, unstable vehicles, structures, cliffs, airplanes, airbags and batteries in cars, moving water, traffic, health concerns for active firefighting, heat, cold, inhalation, cardiac, respiratory, traumatic injury, interacting with law enforcement, EMS, Feds, Medevac....on and on and on.
If the test covers relevant material, it is non-discriminatory on race, only on knowledge. If someone cannot pass it, he can study harder, or accept working under someone who does know the material.
Reminds me of some ‘teacher’ on the West Coast who wanted to become an administrator, vice principal.
There is a test that has, yes, math. After a few times failing the exam, he filed suit claiming, yes, racism. I spent some time teaching math in middle school (I just love that age group, total aliens). There were several teachers who were only a few years from retirement. They became Vice Principals for about 1.5 years. This allowed their retirement check to be much higher. Game the system any way they can.
I wonder what firefighting knowledge only whites know? Ditto for white cops.
