Trump ally Marjorie Taylor Greene: DeSantis should stay put as governor
The Hill ^ | 11/11/2022 | Jared Gans

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), a close ally of former President Trump, says Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) should stay on as governor amid rumors that he could challenge Trump for the GOP nomination in 2024.

Greene did not directly mention DeSantis’s potential interest in a 2024 run in a Twitter thread on Friday but said that losing a “strong Republican governor” early because political consultants are urging them to run for president hurts the country because it leaves their states weak and vulnerable to poor leadership or Democratic control.

Right! It is like two skunks having a pissing contest or two elephants having a shitting contest. Very little good comes from them.

What's DeSantis's view of The Steal of 2020?

What does it have to do with Florida?

Not talking about Florida. I'm talking about DeStatis running for president. Why would his view on this be secret?

Trump should endorse DeSantis for President in 2024.

DeSantis’ poise and restraint in the face of DJT’s rants is exposing Trump’s Achilles heel.

Great idea, lets go back to supporting those who’ve lived in government all their lives, and never had a career outside government.

Enough of these outsiders like Trump and Lake. We need to get back to electing former lawyers turned career government politicians!

Why don’t you ask Elise Stefanik?

The question is why does DeSucker allow the state media to use him to hurt President Trump? He’s silent, which feeds the divisiveness. Couple days ago, people were positive about this guy, now they don’t trust him.

The GOP victory was played up before Tuesday and played down since. People now realizing it was a victory that is getting better. It is time to focus on the future. President Trump is the focus of that future, not DeSnoozer.

My problem with Trump is I don’t think he could win in 2024. He just made the odds worse with his big mouth. I really feel bad because I am a big supporter of all that he did for this country.

Oh and one more very very crucial important point a lot of us are forgetting here. If a person cannot be loyal to someone that came to their help what makes you think they’re gonna be loyal to the base? Do you remember when Trump was in office barely two weeks and the Russia hoax entered the scene? Do you remember his so called loyal friends ran for the hills and started backstabbing him? Do you remember Pence? Or the elf Sessions? Those two POS burned their own bridge with the base!! DeSantis better think Twice before he makes a decision! I pray that those elitist bastards at the swamp are not trying to convince him to run against Trump. I pray he has a better sense then to do it.

You mean like it was Obams’s fault for running when “it was Hillary’s turn”?

When did we become like Democrats? If DeSantis has a better chance of winning on a MAGA platform than Trump why wouldn’t everyone want that?

If MAGA depends on any one man then it’s just a cult, not a movement and a shared vision of the future.

As a side note to this thread, please consider the following.

Patriots need to wake up to the constitutional reality that the Oval Office is not the most powerful peacetime office in the land as swamp-controlled FN seemingly wants everybody to believe imo.

This is because the delegates to the Constitutional Convention had reserved the lion's share of government power to serve the people to the states, not the unconstitutionally big federal government. This is evidenced by the 10th Amendment ratified later in the Bill of Rights.

"10th Amendment: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

In fact, the constitutional record shows that Rep. John Bingham, a constitutional lawmaker, had clarified the following about the role of the very limited power federal government in our lives.

”Simply this, that the care of the property, the liberty, and the life of the citizen, under the solemn sanction of an oath imposed by your Constitution, is in the States and not in the federal government [emphases added]. I have sought to effect no change in that respect in the Constitution of the country.” —John Bingham, Congressional. Globe. 1866, page 1292 (see top half of third column)

So Florida patriots don't want Gov. DeSantis to get elected to Oval Office to do all the good things for the whole country that he's done for Florida. This is because the states have never expressly constitutionally given the constitutionally limited power federal government the powers to serve the people like the states can do with their vast 10th Amendment powers.

Consider that Justice Louis Brandeis had volunteered his "laboratories of democracy" metaphor to emphasize the vast powers of the states to serve the people.

"[...] a single courageous State may, if its citizens choose, serve as a laboratory; and try novel social and economic experiments without risk to the rest of the country." —Justice Louis Brandeis, Laboratories of Democracy.

But until patriots wise up and work with their Trump-endorsed federal and state lawmakers to put a stop to unconstitutional federal taxes, taxes that the very corrupt, post-17th Amendment ratification Congress cannot reasonably justify under its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers, the states will continue to beg for so-rcalled "federal" funding for state projects.

Such funding is arguably state revenues stolen by the feds by means of unconstitutional federal taxes according to the following excerpt from Gibbons v. Ogden.

"Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States." —Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.

Trump, with the continuing support of us patriots, can hopefully finish draining the swamp, peacefully putting the unconstitutionally big federal government back into its constitutionally limited power cage by the end of a second term in office.

Insights welcome.

From afar, in the land of fraudulent communist ballotcounting (MI), I like DeSantis.

We need as many solid ‘based’ R governors fully dedicating their time to advancing freedom in the face of the deep state/uniparty/globalist or whatever you want to call them.

That *especially* means those RINO people who are now trumpeting DeSantis’ name and trying to bury MAGA under it. As was written yesterday, Paul Ryan, who failed as a candidate, failed as speaker, and failed to stop a fraud wave of 2018, now claims to be someone we should listen to about 2024?

Trump and DeSantis themselves hardly enter into it — this is just the usual DC crew gaslighting everyone in order to put themselves back in the driver’s seat and the people back in the kiddy seat. IMO those two should team up and boot the RINOs and chat together about how to coordinate the 2024 primaries for the betterment of America.

Nailed it. MAGA was never about one person, nor did Trump invent it.

DeSantis hasn’t even announced yet, yet he’s being needlessly attacked by Trump, as well as posters of this very website.
