Oregon has six House seats. Two Republicans were elected.
2ND DISTRICT - CLIFF BENTZ won with 67% of the votes.
5TH DISTRICT - LORI CHAVEZ-DEREMER won with 51% of the votes

Oregon would have had three Republican Representatives, except a guarantied to lose candidate pulled votes away from the Republican.

6TH DISTRICT:
ANDREA SALINAS - Democrat . .. 105,386 votes
MIKE ERICKSON - Republican . . 102,096 votes (a loss by 3,290 votes)
LARRY MCFARLAND - Constitution . 4,764 votes

I suppose ranked voting might have resulted in a win for this Republican.

Nothing says “Constitution Party” like helping your DemoCommie pal slide into the House seat...

Just think, the folks that voted for the Constitution candidate voted their conscience, just like Libertarians do. And neither will ever accept responsibility for any losses. Effin’ losers.

Oregon has allowed mail in voting since the 90s, if I’m not mistaken. It was then that the Dem’s started running the tables. I hope that the folks of eastern Oregon are allowed to secede and join Idaho. It would do wonders for Idaho.

I don’t know which is worse, a supposed conservative who stayed in a close race to get 2% of the vote and wound up helping elect a leftist, or supposed conservative voters who wasted their votes on him.

If the Dope GOPe establishment followed the Constitution more closely, there would be fewer third-party spoiler voters.

It pisses me off, since I’m in the new 6th CD of Oregon.(Still against RCV, no matter the outcome)

For a little background on redistricting:

The democrats in the legislature gerrymandered the hell out of the redistricting process. The Oregon Supreme Court rubber stamped it by letting it stand.(Democrat judges BTW)

They got greedy and it almost backfired on them. They wanted a 5-1 representation back in DC, but will most likely get 4 D to 2 R instead.

The problem with Oregon, is you shake a Douglas Fur and 40 liberal bums fall out. Its almost like an endless army, they’re everywhere.

The election is not over yet. There is still a possibility for the third one.

Listened to an interview on Youtube. Sort of odd guy, loquacious, but eventually gets around to a fairly sensible answer to some issues. Nothing detectable about following the Constitution though. No reason to vote for him instead of a major candidate, unless you just sort of like him and want to give him a boost. I bet he got more women than men.

A Constitution Candidate prevented a third Republican from winning.

Nice try, but the republican in question didn't get enough votes to win. Perhaps he should have tried harder to convince people to vote for him

Yes, by all means, call libertarians and any others that come to mind names. Do this as often as you can. Alienate everyone that doest march in lock-step with you. I’m sure that will convince them to vote for the establishment candidate. The sorry state of this country cannot be laid at the feet of anyone but democrats and republicans. How many laws have libertarians passed or signed into law in this country?

The counting is not over. While the Oregon SOS website doesn’t seem to list how many precincts are left to count, CNN shows the 5th district as 86% in, with Lori C-D ahead by 6,792 votes, 150,062 to 143,270.

As for the 6th district, it is 79% in according to CNN as of this writing, with our guy Mike Erickson behind by 4,304 votes, 112,810 to 117,114.

Stay tuned.

That was precisely my first thought.
