Ukraine receives first delivery of NASAMS air defence systems

Ukraine has received its first delivery of NASAMS air defence systems which will "significantly strengthen" its armed forces, Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov said on Monday.

White House National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby said last month the United States was accelerating the shipment of the sophisticated NASAMS systems to Ukraine after a devastating missile barrage from Russia.

"Look who’s here! NASAMS and Aspide air defence systems arrived in Ukraine!," Reznikov wrote on the Telegram messaging app, thanking Norway, Spain and the United States for the shipments.

"These weapons will significantly strengthen the #UAarmy and will make our skies safer."

Just a thought, who is manning these weapon systems, I’ve never operated a sophisticated air defense system, I can’t imagine it being plug and play requiring 30 minutes of training to operate and maintain.

My guess is the systems are being operated by “contractors” aka US military personnel contracted thru some 3rd party to the CIA or some other Government agency.

Ukraine's deteriorating air defenses are a much larger problem than the Western media is admitting.

- Ukraine boasts of receiving NASAM systems from the US;
- NASAMS have inferior spects compared to Ukraine’s dwindling supply of S-300s;
- Western analysts admit that if the West cannot resupply/replace Ukrainian air defense systems, Russia will be able to establish air superiority over the country;
- Western analysts also admit that the West is incapable of resupplying or replacing Ukraine’s air defense systems.

We are merely sending aid to Ukraine along with many other nations. If American troops were on Ukrainian soil fighting against Russia I would share some of your feelings.
