Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) in a new interview said the attack on her husband, Paul Pelosi, will affect the decision she makes of whether to retire from Congress should Democrats lose control of the House in Tuesday’s midterm elections.
“I have to say my decision will be affected about what happened the last week or two,” Pelosi told CNN’s Anderson Cooper in her first sit-down interview since the attack on her husband.
Pressed further on if her decision will be impacted by the attack, Pelosi told Cooper “yes.”
Pelosi’s full interview with CNN is scheduled to air at 8 p.m. on “AC360.”
Pelosi’s comments come less than two weeks after her husband, 82, was injured during a break-in at the couple’s San Francisco home. Authorities allege that David DePape, 42, broke into the residence through a glass door in the early hours of Oct. 28, threatened to hold the Speaker hostage and hit Paul Pelosi over the head with a hammer. The Nancy Pelosi was in Washington, D.C., at the time.

Reminds me of Dingy Senator Harry Reid. He disappeared for a while, and when he finally did resurface,, he looked like the Las Vegas casino bosses had done a number on him. I’ve always heard that for many at that age, even just falling in the wrong manner can be very dangerous,
let alone getting ‘crowned’, fracturing skull and then falling out cold. The more I think about it, the less I believe it.

Only when there is no hope of the bills passing both houses will Nancy announce her retirement. She will, of course, be awarded the Medal of Freedom by Brandon. Perhaps the new Republican Speaker can tear up FJB’s speech. That would be a nice touch.
Paul Pelosi brought this shame on his family all by himself. I don’t feel sorry for a single one of them. Live a life of deceit and darkness, reap the consequences.
Nancy has helped to destroy this country for years without even thinking about what’s right for the American people.. I could give two craps what happens to either of them. Personally, I think Nancy set it up to give her a reason to retire after this blowout coming their way tomorrow. If the Democrats somehow emerge victorious, she’s not going anywhere
