A Democratic candidate for New York state governor cannot be elected Why NYC Democrats are supporting Republican Lee Zeldin for governor
New York Post ^ | October 31, 2022 | Dana Kennedy

A Democratic candidate for New York state governor cannot be elected without the backing of New York City’s huge number of Democratic voters. But looking around Gotham, you’d be hard-pressed to find a single political sign supporting Gov. Kathy Hochul, the Democratic candidate in next week’s election.

Meanwhile, signs for Republican candidate Lee Zeldin are popping up across the city — even in the Democratic stronghold of Queens.

In fact, when a reporter from The Post knocked on the front doors of the homes where “Zeldin for Governor” signs are displayed, many of the people inside said they consider themselves Democrats — but nonetheless plan to vote Republican on Nov. 8.

This is exactly how Republicans are elected in NYS. They get a healthy chunk of votes from the other 4 boroughs (I am excluding Staten Island). Great news if true and the crowning victory of what is hopefully a wonderful night.

I really hope the unsmiling fascist is kicked out of Albany. New Yorkers deserve better. As for nearby CT, it doesn’t look like the Republican has a chance.

I was at a Zeldin rally in Westchester county today. They brought Glenn Youngkin in. A LOT of homemade “Democrats for Zeldin” signs.

Zeldin was good.

The Esposito woman who’s running for LT Gov was incredible.

If Zeldin get higher than 30% of the vote out of NYC he should win it.

And that is exactly what it’s going to take to oust Hochul.

NY Woke-Dems, particularly in NY City, now only like their candidates “Intersectional.”

A middle-aged, white, married karen from Upstate, even of their own Party, is NEVER going to generate any excitement among Leftists.

NY has converted to the mail in ballot vote fraud model. We saw them testing it out in the election of Congresswoman Claudia Tenney last time.

Exactly. Note what happened to the Rubio campaign person who went to the wrong neighborhood and got bear up pretty bad.

Yup- especially the area i live in. Dirtbag white liberals. Had it out with one of them at the rally today.

The irony is, except for a few pockets, the state turns deep red just north. Putnam county for example, right above Westchester, went for McCain over obama in 2008.

Neither Westchester nor Nassau (Long Island) two of the three most populated suburban counties in the state have voted Republican in a national election since 1988. Both did, however, support RINO George Pataki in 1994 and 1998, mostly because his Dem opponents were hideous, Pataki was pro-choice, anti-gun, and for increased funding of public schools, to say nothing of the fact that back then there were more Republicans of any stripe than there are now in the state.

That’s because those states are so segregated and too many can’t see it

Connecticut….rich white liberals living in very homogenous affluent small towns and cities, where the costs exclude so many. Insulated by their wealth.

Small towns/cities in interior Connecticut that are also insulated.

All the minorities are concentrated in a few coastal cities and Hartford.

Outside of those areas, Connecticut is about as white as it gets and it isn’t cheap.

Kind of like a country version of the Hamptons.

Did a lot of rich white liberats move out of NYC to places like Westchester? I understand that a good number of teachers in the Westchester high school(s) make over $100,000 for working about 8 to 8 1/2 months.

With Zeldon NYers will at least have a chance...
With Hochul they’ll have nothing but horrid results. Then they’ll have no one but themselves to blame.
