I admit I haven’t followed the OHIO Senate race closely at all, on a gut level I am hard pressed to believe that OHIO is going to go statewide blue, but JD does have a history of being less than MAGA, and now trying to claim embracement may make support of him wishy washy... we shall see.
If OZ takes PA, I really don’t see how JD would lose in OHIO, but we shall see, just over a week to go..
The question this cycle has not been, will the GOP win.. the questions have been two fold...
1) how big the victory will be
and
2) How many new RINOS/UNIPARTY GLOBALISTS will we wind up being stuck with when its over.
The first is dependent on how the election plays out... and while the media and dems tried to turn the overturn of Roe (which was absolutely the right legal decision) a major issue the reality is, its not and never has been. If someone was strong in support of Roe they were going to vote D anyway.. so pretending that was going to play a major factor in the race was delusional from the start.. It MIGHT motivate a little more turn out/improve enthusiasm among the D base, but hardly was it going to reshape the fall eleciton.... this election was going to either be 1) individual races with GOP having the classical advantages of Bad Ecomomy, Party not in the WH in a mid term, and a grossly unpopular president... Where the general trend would be GOP gains, but individual races would still be driven by candidates, so it would not be a full on slaughter for the D’s or 2) a complete and total repudiation of the D brand because of just how bad this current administration has done.... If this is the case, candidates won’t matter, and it will just be a large scale repudiation of democrats up and down the ballot with only the most BLUE of blue districts safe, and a few, very rare exceptions where the R candidate was just too objectionable.
It certainly appears the latter is the case at this point.
I mean if Washington State Polling is showing the Senate race, well even remotely a race at all, that shows things are going very very badly for the D’s everywhere... There is no way to argue without lying out your butt, that this is looking very very bad for D’s across the board...
I know the NYT published some push polling today that showed Ds up in a lot of key races, but I don’t even need to see the internals to know they are a joke.
Look where they are spending money, that’s always where the truth lies... they are having to pump money into places that should be automatic... will they lose them? Probably not, but the fact they have to pump money into “given” places in the last weeks to shore them up tells you that its going to be a very BAD night for Dems.
Sadly the answer to number 2 is we are very likely going to get a bunch of new unreliable R’s tagging along (rinos/Uniparty hacks/globalists) riding along in this wave... So they folks we got rid of will likely be replaced by a new batch who will betray and undermine us when it matters.
