During an interview last week, Republican Arizona gubernatorial nominee Kari Lake doubled down on her commitment to solving the southern border crisis in her state.
Lake has promised the people of Arizona that she will sign a “Declaration of Invasion” on the first day of her term as governor of Arizona if she is elected this November. This move would be her first step toward stopping the flow of fentanyl into the United States through the southern border.
Asked last Sunday how she would respond if the NFL threatened to boycott the state of Arizona under her leadership and relocate the upcoming Super Bowl due to her America First border policies, Lake affirmed that her first priority is the people of Arizona.
“I’m not going to be taking marching orders from the NFL,” Lake said. “I’m taking marching orders from the people of Arizona who are tired of their children getting their hands on the most deadly drug this country has ever seen.”
Lake, who has been bombarded with media attacks throughout her gubernatorial race, has repeatedly flipped the script on the media and displayed incredible America First leadership qualities, helping advance the MAGA movement prior to the midterm elections. The former news anchor used the moderator’s question Sunday to push back against any opponents of her common sense border policies.
“You want to tell me that a bunch of football teams owned by billionaires are okay with fentanyl pouring across our border at a record level killing our young people?” Lake asked. She added that the “number one killer” for people ages 18 to 45 is currently fentanyl. “It’s killing a generation of people,” she said. “If the NFL is okay with that, then they gotta do some soul searching.”
Lake explained she does not believe the NFL is “that stupid” to threaten a boycott over her border policies. Regardless of what the NFL would potentially do if she is elected and carries out her plans to secure the border, Lake made it clear that she is “not concerned” about pushback against her policies.
“The people of Arizona is who I work for,” she said. “That’s why I’m here with you today. This is a job interview. This should have been a debate, and we are doing a job interview, and you the people of Arizona are the hiring agent.”
Lake explained while she will be open and transparent when working for Arizonans, her opponent does not have the “courage” or “respect” for constituents to debate her, share policy plans, or answer the public’s questions.
Lake explained the “hardest thing in the world” is having parents describe the loss of their teenage children due to fentanyl pouring over the southern border.
“We’re being poisoned by the cartels and the CCP,” Lake warned. “The Communist regime out of China is behind this, and if you don’t think that they can take down a civilization and a country with drugs, then you need to do a history lesson and you got to look at the Opium Wars. They brought down dynasties with drugs and they’re trying to bring this country down.”
Contrasting herself with her Democrat opponent, Lake said she would “fight tooth and nail” to protect future generations of Americans.
“If the NFL has a problem with that, they’re gonna have to lick their wounds,” she said, “because we are going to secure our border in Arizona.”
The Lake Effect!
Lake has the right stuff!
I was reading the candidate profiles last night in the local paper. I kept looking for one who responded to questions about what he would do by saing:
“As a REPRESENTATIVE of the people I will first listen to what they want that appears to be best for all. I will not go against my principles though which are these......”
Didn’t find that person, they just don’t seem to exist.
Boom. that’s how it’s done. I had my reservations about picking a fight with the NFL a week before the election but l was wrong. She framed it perfectly and called the woke a-holes out. I remember when Texas was considering a bill to keep the creeps out of the girls bathrooms. The NFL threatened them and the Texas house speaker surrendered to them like a coward.
As a broad, general principle — states need to start telling the federal government to go to hell: “We’ll manage our own affairs and do what we want.”
The NFL’s not going to move the SB if Lake wins.
Wanna know why?
They’ve already got logistics going.
The set-up, equipment, and paperwork is already in process.
The federal government is the destroyer of our liberty.
Only the states offer protection.
See my post 4. I was wrong and I am glad to say it.
I’d say if they do, then it should be reflected in the numbers that watch it. Sponsors pay big money to reach so many million people, cut the numbers significantly and the sponsors will correct the NFL, jig time.
I’m so glad Mrs. Lake is standing up to the nutty felon league.
I won’t be watching in either event.
The presence of a crooked fool in the Oval Office creates an historic opportunity for the strategy Kari Lake is pursuing.
"Don't make me flip the script. You're not going to like me if I flip the script."
The dims are drowned in the lake
Storm coming
It’s simply not going to happen.
Preparations for the SB immediately takes place at the end of the current SB. They’ve already got the hotel accommodations booked for the VIPs and businesses.
Kari Lake (no pun intended) watching the incoming storm.
Potential President or VP. Imagine a DeSantis/Lake ticket in 2028!
But can/will she be able to resist the Fed. blackmail?
Typically this goes along similar lines.
Fed., “We demand you change your DUI limit, Speed limits, age of consent, institute special treatment for “Gays” (LGBTXYZ.....) or we will not give you *Federal Highway Funding”.
State legislature, YES SIR! RIGHT AWAY SIR!
*Or some other “Must have” Fed. funds.
I have seen this type Fed. blackmail in action for myself.
I have never seen more than token resistance.
<>The federal government is the destroyer of our liberty. Only the states offer protection.<>
But, but I’m regularly told that the states cannot be trusted with an Article V Convention of the States.
