Hillary Clinton is peddling a "disinformation campaign" about a pending Supreme Court election law case by claiming Republicans are scheming to "literally steal" the 2024 presidential election, according to legal experts reached by Fox News Digital.
The failed 2016 presidential candidate claimed Tuesday that, "Right-wing extremists already have a plan to literally steal the next presidential election. And they’re not making a secret of it." She charged that the "right-wing-controlled Supreme Court may be poised to rule on giving state legislatures the power to overturn presidential elections."
Legal experts say, however, that Clinton appears to be referencing and amplifying misinformation about an upcoming Supreme Court case, Moore v. Harper, over whether a state court appropriately rejected the legislature's congressional redistricting plan.
"Hillary is pushing the Left's disinformation campaign when she says the Court may rule in Moore v. Harper to give state legislatures the power to overturn presidential elections," Carrie Severino, president of JCN, told Fox News Digital. "The process for selecting presidential electors is not even before the Court in this case."
"But even assuming a state legislature were to try something that politically suicidal, it lacks the power to override Congress's determination of election day and to ignore its own election rules, both of which it would be doing in such a scenario," Severino added.(snip)
Clinton made a leap from there to suggest that if the Supreme Court rules in favor of North Carolina, the 2024 presidential election could somehow be decided by Republican-controlled state legislatures.
"Just think, the 2024 presidential election could be decided not by the popular vote, or even by the anachronistic Electoral College, but by state legislatures — many of them Republican-controlled," said Clinton.

Stupid twit... the US Constitution says the President is elected by the electoral college, and that the electors are selected by the STATE LEGISLATURES, not the State AG, the Governor, etc.

And it is all over the place. Here in Washington state we have a few democratic candidates that are saying some of the republican candidates are going to join with McConnell in congress and make a law banning abortion. In some cases this topic is the only one used in the adds on television, videos, and radio.
For many years the liberals have used the federal government to give abortion an opportunity to be controlled at the federal level by the use of Roe vs. Wade for votes. What the Supreme Court reversal of Roe did was get it back to state level and keep it there. Now the liberals are lying in the exact opposite direction that the conservatives are going to manipulate federal law to re-establish abortion at the federal level. This less than a year after republicans got it out of federal level.
And the liberals are counting on three things, the voters considering what they are saying as fact, the voters misunderstanding that what the conservatives gave them was a voice in their medical practice for their state directly effecting their lives, and most important, that the voters just blindly think the liberals tell them the truth on any topic that they can use to get people out to vote for other topics just as ridiculous and untrue as this one.

The whole point of the ISL theory is to say state legislatures don’t have to follow any rules except the US Constitution. They can ignore their own state constitution and any existing state laws because their power to choose electors is plenary.
