Since it looks nothing like the Tesla wheel from the OP, and since you can still sorta make out the engine block, I’d say, no.

The most irritating thing about these EV problems threads is how the EV proponents, who probably are stuck with one, constantly try to snow-job the rest of us on how great and trouble-free EVs are.

Well, other than burning to the ground, maybe they are.

Pushing these EVs is such a horrible idea. There are too many downsides and few upsides. The novelty of owning one wears off eventually for people who use them as everyday drivers.

I can't see what sort of EV it might be. However, from the news article, we have this

"In September, Breitbart News reported that another Tesla caused major issues after catching fire with firefighters in Stamford, Connecticut, struggling to put out the blaze. Breitbart News previously reported that fire departments have begun recognizing that electric vehicle fires pose a significant danger and need further training to handle them appropriately."

How do you dispose of the battery when it goes dead? It basically makes the car worthless.

Blue states will want to landfill them in red states, just like is happening in some states with windmill blades.

Because gasoline-engine cars never catch fire

I watched an interview of Elon Musk that is a few years old. The reporter asked him why he was selling a "dangerous" car after reports that two Teslas caught fire and burned. Elon Musk said his Teslas were the safest cars with few cars burning, and pointed out that over 750,000 gasoline cars caught fire and no one complained about that. The reporter ignored his response and continued her claim about Teslas catching on fire, which happened from severe accidents. Reporters are biased, and each person must draw their own conclusions from facts, which are often suppressed.

I had my gasoline vehicle catch fire decades ago. The carburetor was ablaze. But I was able to put it out before any real damage took place and was able to drive it after that.

The carburetor was ablaze.

That reminds me of my youth decades ago. 4 or 5 of us friends were trying to get a car started. So one friend poured some gasoline into the carburetor, and after cranking the engine it roared to life with fire blasting out of the carburetor - while the friend was perched over the engine. He jumped off the car, and with a big smile he said "That was close!". The rest of us were laughing out loud because his wool cap hat was on fire; we managed to put it out and he wasn't burned. Imagine seeing a smiling guy prancing around with his head ablaze.

Anyway, I have seen cars on fire up close, thankfully with no one inside. Gasoline-powered cars, of course, and they often do catch on fire.

Yes, actually they do. “According to this NFPA report covering data from 2005 through 2009, 1,150 of these spontaneous fires were vehicle fires.”

More than 1,000 spontaneously combusting vehicles and not one Tesla.

“In June 2021, Click2Houston reported that over 6.5 million vehicles were under recall because they could catch fire at any moment. The list of brands did not include Tesla, and the cars in question were not EVs.”

<>The insurance companies will soon start refusing to insure them at all....<>

Maybe.

But since our supposed betters believe EVs are the future, I wouldn’t be surprised if ICE vehicles owners are stuck with shared rate increases.
