A 90-minute shouting match: Suella Braverman had 'fiery' meeting with Liz Truss before quitting as Home Secretary and plunging the knife in... as senior Tories hold urgent talks on how to remove Prime Minister from office

Liz Truss’s premiership was in freefall last night.

In an astonishing few hours, she sacked Suella Braverman after a 90-minute ‘shouting match’ – and then saw her Chief Whip ‘resign’.

The ousted Home Secretary launched an outspoken attack on the PM, accusing her of breaking key pledges and wobbling over manifesto commitments such as reduced migration.

Hard to remember such a chaotic political situation in the UK. Two of the holders of the most prestigious cabinet positions have quit or been fired: Chancellor of the Exchequer and Home Secretary. Truss might set a new record for shortest stint at the top of the greasy pole. The current record is 118 days held by Tory George Canning who died in office from consumption in 1827. From what I understand, new parliamentary elections do not have to occur for a year so perhaps events might intervene, but the current polling indicates an absolute drubbing of the Conservatives.

My understanding is that it would be fairly easy for the Tories to remove her...a hell of a lot easier than it would be for us to remove Mr Ten Percent,”The Big Guy”.

But multiple sources said her departure followed a ‘fiery’ 90-minute meeting between her and Miss Truss in No 10 the previous night at which the Home Secretary warned the PM it would be ‘insane’ to relax immigration rules in order to boost economic growth.

Looks like Truss is one of those Suicide Libertarians. Import people to increase overall GDP at the cost of lowering per-capita GDP. /sarcasm on/If our contry imports the whole population of the Indian Subcontinent we would have the wealthiest cou8ntry on earth./sarcasm off/

30 minutes? That’s just two women out PMSing each other. If your are going to quit, quit. If you are going to fire, fire.

So, is the backlash because she wanted to impose liberal or conservative policies?

That's what happens when key leadership positions are filled by checking identity boxes.

Flashback to September 8:

The U.K. now has its most diverse Cabinet in history thanks to new PM Liz Truss

My goodness, the one on the lower right has bigger cankles than Hillary!

Humor aside, the UK is going back into the EU. Guaranteed.

2016 was a great year but look how fast it has all been undone.

>>>So, is the backlash because she wanted to impose liberal or conservative policies?<<<

A bit of both I think. On the one hand she wanted to be like Thatcher in cutting taxes. And she wanted migration and energy policies that Trump would approve of. But on the other hand, she wasn’t going to cut spending. And I heard on the war room this morning that 52% of the GDP of that country is public spending. It’s already a socialist country. All an election does is decide who’s going to manage the welfare state, imo.

Aggressive fracking would pay for a lot of “sins”. Without it, the UK is (can’t say here).

Truss as it turns out is nothing more than a whining apologist for Conservative economics.

Truss is a COnservative in Name Only ( CINO) .

And King Charles needs to beware siding with socialists , whichi is his natiral bent, or there will no longer be a monarchy. The Socialist economics will not support monarchy.
