No, that is fake history fabricated by the Left.
Fake news of yesterday becomes fake history of today, and the McCarthy story is a prime example. He tried to purge the Marxists from the system, and the entire deep state of that time conspired to cast him as a bully and a tyrant..
But their entire case against him was based on the notion that there WAS NO MARXIST INFILTRATION - just innocent people being persecuted for nothing. They mockingly called it the “Red Scare”. Anyone who was afraid of communists infesting our country was paranoid, delusional, insane..
Sound familiar? It should. That’s how the deep state gaslights us about everything they do to Trump, or any other truth-teller who seeks to expose them - including the stolen 2020 election and the Jan 6th protest. They call it a conspiracy theory. They call us election deniers. They say WE are the insurrectionists!
Now, 70 years later, do you believe there was no communist infiltration of our government, and all of our financial, educational and media institutions? Because in order to believe their version of the McCarthy story, you have to believe he was wrong - there were no communists.
I’ve read many book on this subject. Laura Ingraham’s is one of the best.
If the Left gets its way, President Trump won’t be remembered as a populist truth-teller, or an America First patriot. He will be remembered much like McCarthy. Heck, they already use the frame “Trumpism”.
