Paul Gosar Calls Out NATO for Escalating Tensions in Ukraine
Big League Politics ^ | Oct 12, 2022 | Jose Nino

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization is the kind of military alliance the Founding Fathers warned about.

Its entangling nature puts America at risk of entering potentially dangerous conflicts where no pressing national interest is at stake. Just look at the present Russo-Ukrainian conflict. Many policymakers in Washington believe that a Slav-on-Slav conflict thousands of miles away somehow involves a critical national interest. In reality, what guides the DC Swamp’s interest in this conflict is the desire to debilitate Russia and make it submit to the liberal hegemonic order.

DC is committed to this goal irrespective of the massive risks its entails. For one, there’s an increased chance of nuclear conflict between the West and Russia should the former start cranking up military aid and even sending conventional forces into Ukraine to stave off Russian advances.

There are very few elected officials in DC who are calling for deescalation in this conflict. For example, the entire Democratic Party (Yes, even the progressives) is down with the NATO agenda of cranking up tensions with Russia. It’s only a small grouping of Republicans who want to cool things down.

Arizona Congressman Paul Gosar is leading the charge in calling for restraint in Ukraine. He laid out his sentiments on the matter in a tweet he posted on October 12, 2022:

NATO Leadership refuses to offer any sort of off-ramp. They’re not even attempting to deescalate the situation between Ukraine and Russia, and the left slanders anyone who does (like Elon Musk).

We MUST reject nuclear war.

We MUST reject more unnecessary death and destruction.

Indeed, there are scant voices of reason when it comes to foreign policy these days. DC and the media industrial complex that spreads its message are on neoconservative/neoliberal interventionist time. It’s going to take individuals like Gosar to stand up to this pro-war uniparty and change foreign policy.

At this point, complacency only enables the interventionist predators in the DC Swamp. These people must face resistance for their destructive foreign policy moves.

Hopefully Zelensky is dead by Christmas. It would solve everybodys problem.

NATO has refused the Ukraine to join in 2004 and 2022.

I guess the writer wasn’t aware of that.

“ For Biden, the war in Ukraine is only “the first battle” - archetypal battle - between creeping autocracy and the free world (read “free for business”). For Putin, the reality is much darker. This is the battle between Mother Russia and a corrupt capitalistic gang of nations aggressively seeking world domination. Once Putin annexes parts of Ukraine, they are, in his mind, Russian territory, inhabited by Russians, falling under Russian protection. Putin is crazy but within his craziness he is no fool. The rules of the game change with annexation. If the United States (Nato) keeps backing Ukraine’s push to liberate Russian-annexed land, with arms and money, Putin will quickly draw the nuclear line in the sand. And then, all bets are off!”

and that is a past tense-—span of time. only thing keeping them from taking them in is the fact that finally, FINALLY, President Trump got most of them to finally PAY up the % GDP they haven’t been paying for decades. So now Bidenski and our detached from US FIRST mil industrial cheneybots— see the profit in trying to force them to give up their own final recognition of their full participation— so we can get the money to the Ukes to get the money back to the mil-industrials. Fighting the last war—against a non-Soviet Russia. Makes sense to Xi Ping who is framing the shots.

The Russian Bear is much more adept at undermining national governments. History proves that.

John, I’m not sure if the European folks are paying their
increased contributions any longer. They may be.

I do think the industrial military complex milks the U. S.
like cows for cash. It’s a situation that is hard to pin
down, as long as we need military suppliers off and on.

If China and Russia weren’t clanging their sabers, it
would be a lot easier.

No,

We refused. NATO is our club.

And in October 2021 we did offer it. Maybe you’re unaware or can’t remember that?

https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/ukrainian-president-zelenskiy-holding-talks-with-biden-adviser-says-2021-12-09/. (in case your memory fails)

The issue here is that this affects other people, i.e. Russia and when you ignore what others say and want and just do whatever you want, and this includes cheating (Minsk agreement), backpedalling out of promises made (ballistic missile treaty), and lying about NATO East expansion, you end up with a war. This is an issue where Russia feels threatened and it became that way when we transitioned from arming Ukraine to wanting to bring them into NATO.

This isn’t even a war NATO started. It’s not a war the EU started. None of them have the balls. Not even the Ukraine started this war. They jump when we tell them too. We did this. This is a war where we are 100% responsible and in particular the Biden administration. That was their call in October 2021, no one else.

The Russian Bear is starkly different from the Soviet Sickle. It is more nationalistic, free market, and Christian than most other welfare states. Ask any Russian…

— Rep. Paul Gosar, DDS.......

We must also reject dumping more and more billions of US taxpayer money into the conflict!! It is this money that fuels continuation of the war, as well as contributing to horrible inflation here at home!!!!

So it’s your belief that the U. S. offered NATO membership,
something the Ukraine had wanted since 2004, but the Ukraine
didn’t take advantage of the offer?

Did all the members of NATO agree to the U. S. offer?

On March 15th, Zelensky made a public statement that the
Ukraine would no longer seek NATO membership. Why if he
had already turned it down?

Something doesn’t seem to add up here.

There are 40+ million Ukrainians. Zelensky, if he is killed, would become yet another Ukrainian hero, and the rest would quickly find another leader and carry on.

Those 40 million are your “roadblock to peace”. Its very inconvenient for you that they dont seem to want to kowtow to Russia, and now less than ever.

Simple solution for the US assuming the Republicans win the House - STOP FUNDING THIS WAR. If Europe still wants to see Ukrainians and Russians die, then THEY can pay for the entertainment.

So you’re one of those who thinks that the Russians fixed the 2016 election for Trump, I guess? Figures.
