GO BRANDON!
/s
But on a serious note - Biden and company are rapidly eliminating
the things that we as Americans have/had to be thankful for.
Seriously.
Are we going to LET HIM/THEM DO THIS TO US?
ARE WE???
Welcome to the Biden ‘national funk’. Just wait for the Christmas lump of coal…
some of us prefer to have an inlawless/crazy mom or sisterless, quiet celebration with true loved ones..
Skip Easter, Christmas and Thanksgiving, of course.
But....
“How much does the average person spend on Halloween?
In 2022, consumers in the United States expected to spend an all-time high of 10.6 billion U.S. dollars for the Halloween season. Compared to 2021, this is an increase of about half a billion U.S. dollars.” Statista.com website.
Most supermarkets where I live are offering a free turkey or ham, with x amount of dollars spent at their store for a month beforehand.
You just have to save your register receipts, show that you bought at their store, and you carry off your free ham.
It used to be $200 in receipts, but that was awhile ago.
The Native Americans such as the Blackfoot:
Method of the hunt---- Hunters herded the bison and drove them over the cliff, breaking their legs and rendering them immobile. Tribe members waiting below closed in with spears and bows to finish the kills. The Blackfoot people called the buffalo jumps "pishkun", which loosely translates as "deep blood kettle".
As many have pointed out, the majority of the bison were left to die slowly and ignored as the hunters took all the meat they needed to carry and left off.
Do they live in Key West and you in Prudhoe Bay?
:)
The only holidays Leftard celebrate are:
Halloween
Juneteenth
I already got my free turkey from the local supermarket. Yes, I am a planner.
*thumbs up*
Turkey is not $1/lb where I live*
It WAS $1.99/lb a couple months ago, but is now approaching $3/lb — and these prices are for store brand frozen turkeys...
*IL and TN—around $3.00/lb
You don’t have to have a turkey to be thankful to God for his blessings. The tradition is wonderful but if there is not enough to pay for it just get together on that day and share a plate of spaghetti or a bowl of Top Ramen. It’s the joy of being together that makes the holiday.
Or, go in with your neighbors, buy a BIG turkey or two with everyone contributing a bit and everyone bring a side or dessert.
Still amazed that they thought that was significant enough to trumpet. But the administration hack that wrote the pun copy still probably is so very proud of his wittiness
That’s the way to look at it.
Sorry about your father
I may skip it because I can’t muster the will to cook it this year. 😉
I have been very sick for 2.5 years since I got pneumonia vax. I just hope I am well by Turkey Day to get together with family. They are all pretty close by.
