I must say I though Russia would have sent in armor divisions and won the war in a week or so.

America is about to lose the Petrodollar and the reserve currency of the world.

Europe is about to freeze hungry in the dark.

Daniel Baer, a senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, writes in Foreign Policy, “The lost war in Ukraine has put Russia’s future political development and security arrangements into focus. With the diminishment of Russian prestige and power, the geopolitical landscape across Eurasia could prove dynamic.”

Russia (and the USSR before that), was never a superpower. A superpower without a strong economy, is not a superpower. The USSR (now Russia), is a third world country economically. Even Italy and France, have stronger economies, and California alone is a stronger economy than Russia.

The world has been misled about what constitutes a superpower, and the only thing that defined Russia as a superpower, has been their nuclear weapons arsenal. Otherwise, Russia cannot sustain a long-drawn-out conventional war; that’s why they use the threat of using nuclear weapons.

The threat of using nuclear weapons is the only scary part about Russia, but then, using nuclear weapons would mean the end of Russia, and hopefully, there are still some sane people in Russia that can ‘handle’ Putin and his threats.
