One of Hong Kong’s last remaining pro-democracy activist groups has had its account with online payments processor PayPal terminated.
The League of Social Democrats says that PayPal, a multinational financial technology company headquartered in California and Nebraska, sent an email stating it can no longer provide its services to the activist group.
The text of PayPal's email sent to the League of Social Democrats in September has been seen by VOA. It outlines the termination and says the decision is “final.”

It would be interesting, perhaps quite revealing, to find out who is on the Board of Directors for PayPal, and how long they have held the position.
PayPal seems to have gone through a sea change in the last year or two, now listing hard to the left.

My brother lives in NYC and got involved with one tech company and quit after a week, he couldn’t stand it. He called it “wokeinsanity”... Booklets and “training” on every kind of woke crap you can imagine, pronouns, CRT, trannys, gays, with he said the most pretentious kind of a-holes you can imagine in charge. Actually I think he moved out of NYC entirely last week LOL, I have to ask him.
I just use a credit card. I have never seen the allure to use PayPal unless you are a vendor.

I don’t give a fudge about PayPal. I cancelled my account last week before they had a chance to bend me over for my pro American views.
A disturbing email from a friend prompted my recollection of Lenin’s century old prediction:

You maniacs, you blew it up! Damn you...G DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL!”

Paypal (PYPL) stock is down $14 per share since close of trading last Friday. It was 94.42 on 10/6 and closed today at $80.47 (and even further down in after market trading).
The company seems unconcerned and a Market Watch article stated “controversy is unlikely to have ‘any noticeable impact’ on PayPal’s reported users, analyst says”.
We shall see. Companies have a tendency to believe the liberal press so assume that most of their shareholders will support their actions. They should take a look at what has happened to Disney’s stock price in the past three months. There is some truth to the phrase, “Get Woke, Go Broke”.
I wish FR used ACH as a payment transaction. They would have much more in donations by not surrendering CC fees, or PayPal fees.
Nevertheless, I refuse to use PayPal to donate to FR. To me, that’s like handing resources to FR and then handing a donation to PayPal, an entity that has publicly stated their goal is to destroy me.

Occasionally I need to send money to my kids. I’ve been using PayPal. What should I switch to?
Another such service is Zelle. I have used that with ease. I have no idea whether it is better politically than PayPal.
Most banks will let you xfer money from your account to another. Just need their routing number and account number. All online.
