Instead of a National Divorce, How About a National Backlash?
Townhall ^ | Oct 13, 2022 | Kurt Schlichter

Posted on 10/13/2022 5:16:02 PM PDT by T Ruth

Dumping the libs and their garbage, blue cities – figuratively throwing their junk out on the lawn just in time for the sprinklers to go off – is so tempting and sounds so sweet. If only we could wave a magic wand and make the weirdos, losers, and mutations of the left just go away, along with annoying states like New Jersey. ...

***

There are a lot of logistical problems with splitting up the old United States. How do you handle national defense? What about the national debt? Will the borders between old and new America be open? Can people move between them – hell, we're already seeing a bunch of productive people moving to places like the Free State of Florida, so will red America let them in? Will blue America let them go? ...

***

But could a red America and a blue America live side by side? Well, when have you known the libs to live and let live? ... Look at what the Democrats claim causes crime in their blue cities now. Is it lax policing, soft judges, lousy unionized schools, or tolerating social pathologies? No. It's that people who don't live there or go there can have guns.

*** ... There is not going to be a national divorce. There is going to be a national backlash, a backlash against the stupid, corrupt, and evil ideology of the left. We normal people are not going anywhere. We're not chopping up our country any more than we are going to tolerate these monsters chopping up our little kids. We will not divorce them. We will defeat them. And it will be glorious.

We aren’t voting our way out of this.
One side in this conflict is ready and willing to see rivers of blood.
But our side isn’t willing to “go there”.
Which is why we are likely to lose.
And if you think we will win, then be aware what “winning” looks like. It will look like ethnic cleansing. Which is ugly as hell.
And again: the other side is ready and willing. They will kill us if they get the chance.

They’re already murdering and maiming millions via their bioweapon poison jabs.

Turning the other cheek is not an option!

All hell is going to break lose against the Commie Libtards when We The People realize their family members and friends have been murdered all for power, corruption, and because they hate Conservatives.

This is what it must have been like when Hitler came to power and the Jews and others watched before they were sent to the extermination camps. Ask yourselves, are we going to watch and wait for the same end?

That was a dumb article. He kind of left out the most important part of how to defeat them. Elections won’t work.
So we are left with what? Civil disobedience? Civil War? What? No, we will just defeat them. Ok, sure.

It won’t happen as long as public & private capital keeps gravitating & accumulating in the big urban centers.

If that capital leaves for a better ROI outside the peak urban areas, the people will have to adjust in a more scarce financial environment.

Historically, people usually follow commerce around, so over the next decade, urban centers might stagnate to a certain extent.
Or they may re-industrialize and get a bounce in growth that prevents the stagnation.

I don’t see the country splitting up like during the Civil War anytime soon. However, politically the two sides hate each other enough, so eventually they may “get there.”

I have the impression that he sees the defeat as being more and more people coming to see what they are doing as insane and thus moving away from the leftist point of view.

I respect Kurt Schlicter. But I cannot say with him that there won’t be a division of some sort.

I have long thought it will take a single event in which a Red state governor along with the majority of state and county elected officials, and of course with the overwhelming majority of the residents, resists something that the federal government is demanding. Then, another Red state will declare its solidarity, and then others join in. I think of this as a RESISTANCE to federal assault on liberty. Where it goes from there is wholly unpredictable.

This single event could be the FBI coming to arrest the 87 year old prolife woman to take her to federal prison. This could be IRS agents storming an innocent man’s home. It could be an order to not send illegal immigrants out of the state. If the state holds firm against tyranny, what will result? Unknown.

IMHO the division is between Elites/Globalists against regular folk. The Left/Right division is THEIR tactic to keep our focus away from THEM.

I think I would agree, but I also say that “regular folks” fall into two groups — some are People Who See and some are Useful Idiots. I say that the Useful Idiots are helping the Globalists screw over the regular folk.

I think you are correct about the two groups. But I am not sure you would include GOP folks in with Dems. I would. GOP that don't see that the Nixon Reagan Bush administrations were riddled with the same looters, the same CIA running amok, the same deals with the same banks, the same associations with the same mobsters and international criminals as the Johnson Carter Clinton Obama administrations have blinders on just as the others do.

Most important book to come out this year: One Nation Under Blackmail, 1000 pgs 2 volumes by Whitney Webb.

I have long asserted that will happen, though as a process and not an "event". And that process has been in play for some time. Note that such people and places are not the secessionists - they are trying to stay with the Constitution and the rule of law - but it is the criminal jurisdictions who have succeeded from the union by their disregard for the rule of law. We're already broken up, it just hasn't hit critical mass yet.
