WASHINGTON — Former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii announced Tuesday that she's leaving the Democratic Party because it's "now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness."
In a video statement posted on social media, Gabbard, 41, accused Democrats of dividing the country "by racializing every issue, stoking anti-white racism" and "actively working to undermine our God-given freedoms enshrined in our Constitution."
"The Democrats of today are hostile to people of faith and spirituality," she continued. "They demonize the police and protect criminals at the expense of law-abiding Americans. The Democrats of today believe in open borders and weaponize the national security state to go after political opponents. Above all else, the Democrats of today are dragging us ever closer to nuclear war."
Good for Tulsi!
I have always liked her.
She just has to see the light on the abortion issue.
The thing is, now that it's a State issue, it really doesn't matter.
You should catch her appearance on Tucker tonight. She would get my vote.
There are things about her that are great, and there are
things about her that are not quite so much so.
She’s going to please us at times and frustrate us at
others.
Hope I’m wrong. Glad to see her move away from the full
blown Communists.
These new to Conservatism folks can be a real pain in the
ass, when they see themselves as Conservative, but blow
out a Romney, Cheney, or Graham like statement once in a
while.
Tulsi/Tucker 2024
I am sure that we will soon be seeing glowing stories in the media about what a ‘maverick’ she is.
I know, but it would make me feel better about her if she would convert to pro-life.
It could happen. It happened with Ronald Reagan.
same way Joe Rogan made her more appealing. She did good during those interviews but it depends on the viewer..
That is all it is.
Liberals can run for office on the abortion issue all they want.
The Supreme Court has ruled it is not in their jurisdiction.
Trump voted for Democrats who would have voted for the same things Gabbard did.
I’m not sure who she would take more votes from.
I’m thinking more D votes due to her positions on abortion and guns.
Greg Gutfeld already said she’s Trump’s VP today. I disagree pn her being in tune with Josh Hawley because Hawley is a MAGA dude and a true conservative.
Here’s Josh Hawley defending US servicemen housing vs a dike lesbo pronoun-happy woke general..

Yes I want to see the right of babies to live and not be killed upheld. Actually the whole Bill of Rights. That said maybe she is in a good road. I hope so. I would not vote for her at this time but I will keep my eye on her.
That must be some dank bud you’re smoking. :)
“In a show of solidarity with the Standing Rock Sioux, Congresswoman Gabbard is joining thousands of veterans from across the United States who have come to Standing Rock and the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation to protest the building of the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL). The pipeline, if approved by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, would cross under the Missouri River and threaten not only the water supplies of Standing Rock, but also that of the Cheyenne River Sioux to the south.”

all correct points. But making the move official was a bold move to make it permanent instead of being wishy washy.
Both parties are collapsing at the same time.
Remember the quote: “I saw the crown of France lying in the gutter - AND I PICKED IT UP”.
If we don’t have a socially conservative and economically liberal political formation/movement/party, and damn soon, we will be lucky to have Napoleon.
Curious: are there Republicans in HI? ;)
