It always seemed to me like it was a combination of needed production AND refineries. Obviously Biden was doing all he could to cut production, but I had heard for a long time that we were short on refineries; before Biden was ever elected. I don’t KNOW all that for fact; just what I had heard for a long time.

"Nor have we built any nuclear reactors which would have solved most of the enviroweenies problems with petroleum. I love the law of unintended consequences. It’s like the law of gravity, but for liberals."

Ah, but the worm is apparently turning re nuclear. Even California governor GAVIN NEWSOME has admitted that maybe shutting down all those nuke plants wasn't a good idea.

I saw a news item recently announcing a joint venture between Dow Chemical and a company planning to produce "small, modular reactors" for use in powering Dow's chemical plants (disclaimer...I worked for Dow for 20 years). It appears that the anti-nuke dam is springing leaks.

But then the DM is regularly a source of news in FR, as in this case (and at least a dozen more today) without a quibble, as long as the news is palatable.

Have you finally figured out the difference between news and propaganda?

No. News is news like it or not. Propaganda is propaganda. It appears you've learned nothing. The lessons will continue.

Move to Florida! Or Texas.

Their electric rates are almost 1/2 of New York.

Get rid of your state government, or go elsewhere. Getting rid of your government is going to be tough as most of your neighbors are insane. Look out your door at your neighbors. They are the cause of most of your problems.

See? I have goven you the solution to your troubles. All you need to do - is to do it.

No company will sign up to do it. The next DemonCraps administration will come in and pull the permits, destroy them with environmental regulations ….

I wouldn’t risk that much capital on political chance. Look at the pipeline Biden killed. How much was spent without one drop being pumped.

Completely irrational. A propaganda site will give you only news they want you to have. The news you think is “news”, facts, or narratives you like, is selected for your consumption, to serve the purposes of the propagandist. If some of it is propaganda, all of it is propaganda.

Therefore the only way to insulate yourself from propaganda, or rather the accusation of listening to propaganda, is to isolate yourself entirely.

FL Sheriff to Homeowners: Shoot Looters Until They Look ‘Like Grated Cheese’

Breitbart ^ | 10/08/2022 | Awr Hawkins

Posted on 10/8/2022, 8:22:42 AM by ChicagoConservative27

Polk County, Florida, Sheriff Grady Judd is telling residents of his county to protect their homes by shooting looters until they look “like grated cheese.”

Grady told FOX News on Friday, “People have a right to be safe in their homes. They have a right for their property to be safe, even when part of their home may be torn away, and these looters, that’s unacceptable.”

Grady went on to encourage Polk county residents to defend their property from looters and to make sure looters understand there could be a high price to pay for taking advantage of hurricane victims.

The Saudis may be evil, but at least they're not completely retarded.

Yep, in this world, this is the new standard by which to judge matters.

Well put.

It sounds like straight reporting of the statements of said sheriff.

By Breitbart, btw, which publication is very much in sympathy with the idea of looters looking like “grated cheese”.

Granted it is a rather inapt figure of speech on the part of the sheriff. Perhaps he had other things on his mind. “Look like a cheese grater”, that is, full of holes, is probably better, and may have been what he meant to say. Or, better yet, “look like a colander”.
