Russia is currently fighting a HOT WAR, whereas with the Cuban missiles 'crisis', there was no war.

Russia is now threatening to use nuclear weapons, simply because they're losing that war.

Also remember that, it was Russia that was being the 'aggressor' in the Cuba missile crisis, by bringing missiles very close to the U.S mainland. And, what the heck do you thing those missiles were meant to carry as their payloads? Fruits and vegetables?

A threat is meant to change behavior, and a threat has to be dealt with. Would you rather that Russia and Cuba had kept the missiles and the threats? If your answer is yes or ambiguous, then, you are obviously working on behalf of Putin and Russia. But, heck, we know Russian plants are all over the place, pretending to be good American citizens.

In real time, Castro asked Khrushchev to attack the U.S., having the nuclear warheads AS WELL AS the missiles. Khrushchev, who actually believed socialism would outperform capitalism, must have said, what, are you nuts! Since we’re going to win the Cold War, why should we risk a nuclear war? So, he and Kennedy - who equally believed in capitalism - came to some kind of agreement to remove nuclear missiles from the border of the other country.

Consider where we are today. What the hell does Putin believe in? If he thought Russia was so great, he wouldn’t be so paranoid. Just the opposite. Since everybody realizes Russia is totally corrupt, Putin is desperate.
