On Tuesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “The Lead,” CNN Senior National Security Correspondent Alex Marquardt reported that the White House is “panicking” over the prospect that OPEC will cut oil production and is engaging in a “furious, last-ditch, wide-scale effort” to lobby against a production cut.

The UN wants price controls. That created OPEC, so I am sure they will rollover for the UN. Prices went from $3 per barrel to $40 per bbl in 1973, and this oil shock created real wars. But hey, the demented fool knows whY he is doing.

With blowing up nordstream and opec saying FJB, it looks like the democrats will finally get their wish of energy prices to necessarily skyrocket. Problem is, I don’t think they wanted it to happen before the election

Yep. Trump had a great relationship with the Saudis.
The Biden administration set out to ruin it from day 1.

Now the Saudis wont give the US admin the time of day.

Note I say “the Biden administration” as Joe Biden bears no responsibility for anything. He is a disabled person serving as a puppet.

Don’t cut production or what, Brandon will have their petroleum facilities bombed?
They saw Nordstream, they heard what Brandon said on February 22nd about Nordstream, they’re taking advantage of the weakness of our domestic production.

OPEC is casting its midterm ballot.

I find the timing interesting. They could have done this in May. We would have more time to deal with the production cuts. But they are probably tired of Joe. So they are doing this now just before the election.

This moron on steroids hasn’t figured out we have enough energy potential that we don’t need OPEC.

I wonder if this is payback in response to the fact that Obama’s people, using Joe as a proxy, are trying to give Iran the Bomb.

OPEC is presently producing less oil than allowable. Thus, the reduction is really no reduction at all.

IIRC, when Biden went ass-k***** to Saudi Arabia a while back, they did agree to increase production, but only for a few months.

Sounds like we’ve reached the end of the term and the Saudis are doing what they said they would do. So, prices will back up again.

BTW, what’s with the price of premium fuel? Here in Central Kentucky the price differential between regular and premium had “always” been $0.60. About a month ago, it jumped to $1.00, then back down to $0.90.

Petroleum isnt natural gas, and their prices arent really related.

Oil prices have been collapsing, and Opec is trying to prop them up. Longer term this wont work, as we are headed to a global recession/depression. This alone is likely to prompt Opec countries themselves to cheat on the cartel, as they feel the pinch.
