“You’re a homophobe, now buy my product” is not the best sales pitch in the world, but when you’ve got nothing else you go with it because when you’re as dumb as a hammer, everything is a nail. That’s a confusing and convoluted opening sentence, but I wrote it on purpose to illustrate a point – leftists hate you AND desperately want your money and can’t come to terms with that. Return the first and deny the second, leaving them to continue to wrestle with the third.
Americans are pretty good at not giving money to people who hold them in contempt, though we’re less good at denying our money to people who look at us like we’re helpless dummies incapable of taking care of ourselves. In fairness to us, we’d pretty much have to listen to zero music or watch nothing on television but old Gunsmoke reruns if we did.
Of course, I do wish people would recognize not only that someone like Bruce Springsteen thinks you’re too stupid to know what’s in your own self-interest, but also that his music really sucks.
Still, there are times when the public does see that the “artists” attempting to sell them their products hold them in absolute contempt and shun their product. The movie “Bros” is one such case.

We saw one ad for the movie and were instantly agreed....NOPE! Less than zero interest.
I think the movie bombed because it only appeals to/is tolerable by gays and gays are a much smaller percentage of the population, in reality, than gays want to admit.
With this movie are the butt buddies trying to take over a new word for their perversion the way they did with “gay”?
More often, they sneak a hard left turn into whatever plot line their telling midway through the show. Click. Off. Done.
Wait - why are we dragging Bruce Springsteen into this? Bruce has his political stances which are far left but I never heard him say that people won’t buy his product because they are homophobic racists.

Springsteen is a class a jerk off. However I will say this his first three albums were extremely good. And we saw him live in 1976 and the E Street Band was Top Notch. After album number three he went straight down the toilet

They marketed it as a gay movie. I saw an ad for it on television. I wish I could remember one of the tag lines they used in it but the gist of it was that being straight isn’t “in” anymore. How are you going to appeal to general audiences with marketing like that?
We see enough of the “queer” stuff on TV, (and I usually turn it off no matter what is playing). Why would I PAY to go see “queer stuff?” Not me. This is woke go broke!
How hard was that?

I successfully live a somewhat sheltered life away from the pervasive crapola spewed at us. What’s this movie brouhaha about for those of us living in caves?
I saw the trailer, and it was hard to make it through those 2 minutes of pure rubbish.
If I am watching a movie and it begins showing a scene with homosexual overtones, I just leave the room and do something else.
It is just a hard stop for me. My wife doesn’t even bother to ask anymore if I am going to finish the movie.
