It might well have been the Chinese...they have been uncharacteristically silent over this mess. Then again there are reports of infighting and Xi maybe being kicked from power...so who knows.
They can probably “sleeve the damaged sections with pipe running over or through pipe and connecting the proximal and distal sections together. Then blowing out the water and repressurizing. That can get the gas running. They then would have more time to strenthen the repairs in a permanent state of function.
I think it is very clear who is responsible...lots of pieces falling into place. This group has provided a very detailed timeline of the attack...it has our finger prints all over it.
